Squealing sound when braking?

Does anyone know what rotors and pads were put on that persons car on this thread who had them replaced?

I am guessing you are referring to "navair", who had those and I believe the calipers replaced. He drives an Ecoboost. Have not seen him around these threads again. :shrug:

All I know is that the engineer sent new calipers/rotors and pads for Navair's car. They were told just to bolt them on and make no adjustments. It's not something that was being carried at the dealership.

I went to my dealer today and they pretty much told me there is nothing they can do until the tsb comes out.they said if it get worse, which they said it probably will, they will have to turn the rotors

So they basically told you it was going to get worse, but didn't just turn the rotors? Makes sense.

They said they didn't want to turn them because it only had 1700 miles on it..I told them if/when it gets worse Im coming back expecting a fix...or at least for them to turn the rotors

Ah, that's right. And I think Joe Green said that although the parts looked identical except in color, the same bolt-on was ineffective for anything other than the Ecoboost (i.e., the GT). Unfortunately. :(

Figures. So am I right that Brembo's are not having this issue? I think I am going to request for them to put Brembo's on my car at no extra cost

From what I am gathering, that is correct.
If you have any luck with Ford compensating you with Brembos, do let us know! ;)

I definitely will let you know. I am going to try really hard to get them, wish me luck!

So if this turns out to be specifically a non-GTPP problem, it might be worth it for both sides to negotiate a reduced price on a Brembo setup to make the problem go away. Kind of where I was heading when I was asking about how the noise occurrence is breaking down.

Oh, I would be totally down with negotiation.
I believe my Ford service manager quoted me $350 to install new Brembos.
