Started this thread but never actually took in the car to dealer. Been waiting for actual fix. called my dealer today Caruso Ford in Long Beach and they weren't aware of the problem let alone the fix for the problem. Their going to take a look on Tuesday and are going to look into the TSB in the mean time.

My GTPP started to have minor brake squealing at around 800 miles. I haven't noticed anything with turning as others have stated, for me it's straight line stopping, only the first 1 or 2 stops then it goes away. I live in Oregon where this time of year it rains most days, so I can't really rule out wet versus dry days.

I was thinking I'd mention it when I take it in for the first service, or trying to put some copper grease on the pads myself. I've done plenty of brake jobs before. But so far it hasn't been annoying enough to make me do anything about it. Nothing like the banshee scream others have described.

I'd definately like to know if a TSB gets issued though.

I'm at 1700 miles and just started getting the squealing at low speed stops. I always had just one squeal after leaving work when the cars been cold at my first stop, but now I'm having them frequently when correcting myself in a parking spot or in bumper to bumper traffic. Probably going to wait for the TSB.

I sure hope you are not experiencing the same squeal because at some point I plan on upgrading to the performance brakes you already have. :headbonk:

I've not had the squeal at all with my PP, but one thing I get every now and again is a heavy pull to one side under braking. It's like one of the front pads pulls way away from the rotor and the other side catches much sooner. Catches me off guard when it happens. But it's temporary, once I stomp on the brakes hard, it evens itself back out.

I would hate for that to happen when it's raining or on an icy road. Better get that checked.

Definitely. I'm just trying to isolate it before I take it in. I want to be clear on whether it always pulls the same direction or not, and it's not been happening often enough for me to remember exactly. But even if I don't narrow it down, it'll definitely be brought up at the first service, which will be soon.

My front left Brembo brake started sqealing today- but it does it equally when I'm hitting my brakes, or if I'm not even touching my brakes. Has anyone had this issue?

I just got a call from my Ford Case Manager (he said he'd call back on the 2nd, grrr) about the brakes. According to the engineer, Ralph, the replacement parts should be released 'in two weeks'.

So much for 'mid-Feb'...

Problem is getting worse for me, instead of better. 1800 miles and the squeal gets louder and more frequent. Guess I'll be taking her in.

Turning the rotors is unacceptable! Unnecessary wear should never be considered a solution. I don't give a shit if they only took off a nanometer! The fix is supposed to be new pads and rotors.
8 days and 600 miles. Still hasn't returned. Quiet braking is worth a little wear although I still find myself expecting it to scream at me every time I brake and turn.

I haven't heard of this. You may want to keep asking in here or start a new thread. You'll probably have more luck with a new thread.
