Took my 2015 GT in for the same issue and Ford won't touch it. Video below:

PM FordService. They will open up a case for you and put you in contact with your Regional Service Manager. They are aware of the issue but not all dealers are.

Yup, that sounds familiar. Usually only when I'm turning like you, unless it is wet/humid, and then happens going straight too.

Finally found this thread again. Just saw it last night. Been having squeaky brakes since the first week with the car. Took it to a Ford they said nothing is wrong never heard it squeak. Seems like it's been even worse. Going to read this thread and call em up tomorrow.

Just PM FordService here on these forums. Once you get a case #, it'll help keep everything tracked. You'll then get a phone call from a ford rep. Good Luck.

I've noticed mine also squeals when braking while turning left. Other times it seems to do it once or twice when cold or wet. Going to ask the dealer to look at it when I go in for my first oil change.

So I have an update...

Just came from appointment #2 at my dealership in San Diego, Kearny Pearson. Sadly, all that was done was some grease was wiped off the rotors. However, I'm the pushy type (sorry, Julio). Besides emailing my service advisor (yep, that would be Julio) days prior to my appointment, I showed him "navair"'s post today about the fix he/she received (upgraded pads, rotors and calipers). Julio called Joe Green at McCoy Mills in Fullerton. The pads they used were Supreme Extreme. (As of this post I am unable to find any info online about these ) Julio said that Joe also told him that someone who received this fix (unknown whether he/she is a poster on here) is experiencing the problem again.:( I asked Julio if in the meantime I could locate these upgraded pads and get this fix anyway so I (and the general public) could have some relief from this scream for longer than a few days, but I was told to hang tight to see what Ford says.

As previously mentioned by someone else, Ford indeed is aware of the problem, and we were also told it would take about 6-8 weeks to get this (hopefully) resolved. My case manager at Ford has promised to call me tomorrow to see how it went today, and of course I plan to fill him in on what's going on.

All I can suggest at this point, if you have not already, is to bring your squealing baby in, show the service advisor this thread as well as a recording of the noise (or videos kindly posted by some of our fellow sufferers) and gently push him/her to be made fully aware of this. They should call Ford directly. Also, if you have not already, file a case yourself as other posters suggest; there is a friendly Ford rep on here and on other mustang forums who will assist you. The more we all work with our service advisors and reps as a team, the quicker the resolution. :ford:

I hope the folks who received the fix at McCoy Mills will please come back to verify whether it's (unfortunately) true, that it didn't work :( ...

Navair133 is the member who received the fix at McCoy-Mills. I'll text him for an update. The other person who's car kept making the noise only had their calipers replaced, not all 3 components. I was told 6-8 weeks about 2 weeks ago so I hope it's now 4-6 weeks.

Hmmm...Seems "6-8 weeks" is what was said today. Hope this isn't going to become a catchphrase around here.

Navair133 just texted me and said that his brakes are still quiet after the repair.

Well the guy at McCoy-Mills (Joe Green) seemed like an honest guy but maybe they're bullshitting him to. There probably are more than enough of us to make a lawsuit out of this.

My brake fix is still good. Seems to have solved the problem. I had the problem both front and back and eventually calipers, pads and rotors were changed. My understanding from my service manager is that the pads are improved product, no grease.

Don't let them just shimmy the rotors, only will be temporary fix.

That's good news. :) Was the pad "Supreme Extreme" (or whatever)?

I really want the fix that entails full replacement of all the components (with upgraded pads). My dealership did not want to do it. I was bummed today was a bust but at least more Ford folks know of the problem.

I know others got a fix at McCoy Mills...not sure if it was the same as yours... ?

I'll call McMoy-Mills tomorrow and ask. When I took mine, there was 4 scheduled to be taken in for the same thing that week.

I called Joe Green – very friendly guy with lots of information. He is indeed in close contact with an engineer (Ralph) and originally had reached out to the head of Ford.

I left him my name, phone number and VIN. He noticed that the cars affected so far have VIN numbers within 1000. He said a fix will be available at the end of this month. :clap2: I don’t get the vibe that he is BS’ing (and I am so glad that Julio isn’t, either - he just didn't give me all the details like Joe did).

Of course he reiterated what you had already said here, and explained things further for my very non-technical self. He did confirm one of the cars (Ecoboost) had a fix that remains effective (must be navair’s?). He also mentioned the components coming assembled. Other fixes are/were temporary thus far (non-EB).

The 4 cylinder model *appears* to have the exact same size brake pads as the GT. When those are installed on the GT (along with the rotors and calipers), however, the noise returns.

Like my advisor (Julio), Joe suggested not to waste any more time and just wait for the fix. So that is what I will do. :headbonk:

Yep. My fix at McCoy Mills. Bought my car there October 11 and problem started one week later. Worked with Joe Green since then to finally get the apparent right fix. Had to go through process of shimmy, adjust pads, change pads with same type of pad before Ford realized problem was more serious. I get the impression that right now there is a stock shortage on the new pads-they are going to assembly line first before coming out as parts available. I was informed that at some point Ford was not releasing pads to dealerships for that reason.

McCoy-Mills has recognized this problem from the start as an issue. I have owned bmw, mb, porsche and dealerships were good, especially mb. However McCoy-Mills from sales to service has been without a doubt the best.

You lucked out, finding someone so dedicated to get to the bottom of this. Joe was super friendly on the phone, too. :)

A dealership that actually cares...whoda thunk?? :D
