My dealer told me they could not dublicate however it did it twice in the parking lot as I was picking it up. Not happy..... Along with them doing an alignment and my rear pass wheel is so towed in at the top I'm sad to drive the car because people would think I'm trying to stance the car out

Same shit happen to me... Ford service made me a case number and got me in touch with the regional customer service manager/director ... He pretty much reiterated the same thing the dealer said... No help what so ever..

What does "towed in at the top" mean? I recently learned what "stance" is, so it sounds to me what you are describing basically is one poorly installed tire, yes?

If I were you, regardless of brake squeal (which is just cosmetic), I would make an appointment with another dealership immediately. Your safety is much more important; this is a performance vehicle, not a decorated Honda bopping around the neighborhood. Also, perhaps a different dealership will solve your brake issue as Ford is obligated to do so. :ninja:

Good luck and please be safe.

Take your car to McCoy-Mills Ford in Fullerton. Call Joe Green so you can make sure he's there when you take your car.

I think he means "toed in" at the top (wheel alignment jargon), which means the top of the tire is tilted towards the center of the car way more than it should be. If he can see that one of the rear tires is tilted in more than the other, then the alignment is probably off. Of course the best way to know it to have the alignment checked on a machine and adjusted if out of spec.

Thank you. :D
Yeah...If I saw that I definitely wouldn't be driving my car around with a tire in that condition, and would take it elsewhere for service.

I'm not an alignment tech, toe is not the same as camber which is what a number of people are describing here... Toe, if you were looking down from above the car would look like the wheels/tires are pointing in toward the center of the grill (toe in) or out toward the headlights (toe out). Camber when viewed from either the front or rear of the car would look like the tops of the tires/wheels are tilted toward the center of the car (negative camber) or if they appear to be tilted toward the outside of the car (positive camber). That's my take.

^^^ Yep, that's correct. I didn't use the right terminology ... if the top is tilted in/out it's camber.

Hey guys,

Although it may not be the ideal option, have you tried getting a second opinion at another local dealer? As dealers are independently owned, there may be one more familiar with the issue. If this is a potential option, send over a PM. I'll enlist additional assistance on my end. :)

I am really curious whether anyone whose car was built after the cutoff date on the TSB is experiencing this problem.

I have seen several people post that their dealer said that they couldn't duplicate, and weren't going to do anything about it - and several of those people were asked about their build date with no response.

My car was built in October of '14 and had dump truck level brake squeal. The TSB repair was done on my car early this month and I have put over 1600 miles on them without a single peep.

I would guess that the parts that were replaced on my car would have been blended into the production line around the date of the TSB, so that newer cars would already have them?

Hey Jeff why the hell is your company trying to piss off it's customers? You have a TSB that applies to your customer's cars based on a build date and a noise that we've complained about but you're still not going to help. All this anger and frustration because your techs couldn't replicate a noise after a 2 minute car drive? Some have even provided a video. These dealers get reimbursed for warranty work. :frusty:

I just had the service writer tell me cars do squeal in reverse ....then I said again my car has a TSB and the other writer says thats really nothing, that just helps the tech find the problem/fix
