I'm happy to take replacement brembos to make up for this. It's really gotten to the point where I won't start my car if I see anyone around because the squeal is so embarrassing.

Come on Ford, this needs to get resolved sooner rather than later.
That would be sweet, but I know they won't fit on my factory 18'' rims.

I was hoping to see a fix. Mine started squealing after 2700 mi. It's so frustrating:frusty:

The best part was that my CSM originally told me that it was normal high performance brake noise and that my case was closed. And now we have a TSB coming. IN YOUR FUCKEN FACE!

Any word from Joe Green?

That can't get here fast enough. I refuse to go through drive thrus until fixed because of how embarrassing it is. I even had a guy in a parking lot pull up and ask me what kind of cheap after market rotors did I put on my new mustang.

Very poor response time by Ford. The first and last mustang or Ford I buy (wife has a fusion hybrid). I've wasted time with multiple visits, money on gas, vacation time. Fuck just getting a fix. They should compensate us in some way. I know it won't happen but if the want to keep me as a future customer then they better do something for me.

I'll definitely admit to coasting around corners in the lot, rather than braking...in an effort to avoid the squeal until I've stomped it a couple times.

Supposed to call him this Thursday.
Not that it is his fault...but we already know Joe will say he 'should hear something next week', or 'in 1-2 weeks'. We're already halfway through the first week of March, and we've been told we'd have the fix thrice since mid-January. Even if the TSB really is to be released next week, there is still the matter of waiting for the replacement rotors to be shipped to the dealers, and who knows how long that'll take. Another 2 weeks? A month? Will they be special-ordered on a case-by-case basis? Not everyone is experiencing the problem. Joe has my contact info but I doubt that is considered any sort of waiting list for parts; and I am nowhere near his dealership to begin with.

I would rather Ford just go ahead and say they will be fully ready 'this summer' than continue putting us off in 2 week increments.

In the meantime maybe I could donate plasma to save up for the Brembos. :headbonk:

Joe Green has been awesome throughout this long as process. Like you said, it's not his fault. He keeps getting the same, 'not yet' line we're getting. He does have a list of those who need the replacement parts and he did say his dealer will be among the first to have them.

Yeah...he did indeed say he will be among the first to receive the parts...I think he is actually working with Ralph the Ford engineer himself.

I suppose I am mostly referring to the hundreds (thousands?) of those outside his dealership (and other "chosen" dealerships) who are stuck with the problem.

If Joe does call, I myself have no problem with driving 2ish hours one-way to pick up a set of the damn things myself from him if I somehow have a chance to reserve them. I'll then just have my local dealership install them. My VIN should be sufficient enough payment. :headbonk: <<< love this hammer guy

I know, I shrunk under the steering wheel. I had to explain there's a TSB coming.
I want you both to feel proud of your Pony. Have you all let your dealer know about the concern yet? As there can be many causes to a specific issue, I recommend checking into it further. Send over your mileage; I'll see what options are available on my end. :)
