I'm just glad I didn't accept their excuse "it's normal, it should stop after 3000 miles have been put on the pads". At 3800 miles and it's still there. Took my car in for service where I bought it and they did say there was a TSB.

I tried to drop my car at my dealer today and services manager told me that Ford is currently investigating the problem. He told me to come back 2-3 weeks and hopefully Ford come up with a solution for this.

I know it's only been a few days, but it's rained a few times and been pretty cold for Southern California, no squeal and the brakes seem to feel better overall. Time will tell once I get some more miles on it if the issue returns or not.

Spoke to Joe Green today (about 15 mins ago) and he said that a TSB will be announced by next Thursday and that he will be able to order parts when it's announced. He said that he hasn't been provided with the new part #'s and that will be included with the TSB. The fix will be new rotors. The pads are fine but will still be replaced with the rotors. The rotors are the cause of the (as he described) harmonic noise.

Bah I should just have waited!

Also, My squeal came back today so the pads didn't fix it. Guess I'll have to bring it in again in a few weeks for new rotors.

I figured I would add my name to this list. My car has made this noise from day one. I currently have 750 miles on the car. Always at low speeds, does not matter if it is dry, wet, hot or cold. Majority of the time it happens when the car has been sitting for a while, but today it happened as well after driving for a half hour and pulling in to my garage. It happens when I am going straight and turning left for sure. I think turning right, but I will listen for it to see if it does it while turning right as well. The Ford dealer I took it to had my car for 4 hours for another issue and refused to look at the car for it. They claimed they did not have the time, even though I showed them a video I made and when the porter pulled it in....it made the noise! I was planning on going back tomorrow morning on my day off but it seems I am wasting my time with that. I am in New Orleans and my car came from Dallas, so I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem, since I see most of the people with the issue are from the west coast or Texas.

I also saw a bunch of you saying you talked to a guy Joe Green about this, would he be able to help me even though I am not in his area? I am taking any suggestions because like most everyone else with this noise, I don't think it is normal and it is completely unacceptable and I am afraid to go to the dealer and have them tell me it is normal because I may go postal on them. Thanks in advance for the help.

I would hold off (hopefully) just till the end of this week to see if a TSB is announced by Ford. You can give your dealer McCoy Mills Ford's telephone number 888-806-8868 and they can speak to Joe Green, if they think it's normal brake noise. He'll be able to tell them that it is not and that a fix is coming. Until the TSB is announced, your dealer won't be able to order parts.

Thanks for the number. I did plan on holding off I just wanted to have this info to present to them. And I pretty much confirmed this morning while in Dunkin Donuts drive-thru that my car makes the noise the majority of the time when turning left. Extremely embarrassing!!

I'm happy to take replacement brembos to make up for this. It's really gotten to the point where I won't start my car if I see anyone around because the squeal is so embarrassing.

Come on Ford, this needs to get resolved sooner rather than later.
