Someone scraped up my rear bumper in a parking lot. Scumbag just left. No note. Half the cars I saw in Broward County looked damaged. Nothing good comes out of Broward County. Anyway, anyone have a recommendation of where to get oem matching spray paint? Ford parts only has the pen.

Very close up pics here. Will need filler to smooth it out. Scratches are deep. A few more like these. All on bumper.

I don't know your abilities but if you want to give it a shot these people make paint per your paint code. They're not hard to find online

Maybe just try DR. Colorchip. Really good results if you take your time.

Thanks all. May try the automotive touch up first knowing it may $50 wasted if I fail and need body shop to fix.

Looking at your pics.(hard to tell), but do you have a metallic 3-stage factory paint?

If so, it's not as simple with just a "match and spray" due to the factory paint levels and the actual metallic flake embedded in it.

You can try but I believe the result will turn out to be much darker in the repaired area and it will be difficult to "blend" - which might make the result much worse than the chips you currently see.

Take it to a local and reputable body shop - they can fill in the divots, smooth it down properly and practically color match exactly to the existing factory paint color/type. You'll be more pleased with the results then having to deal with the frustrations of trying to do it yourself (and possibly not ending up with the expected result).

If the paint doesn't have metallic flake in it and isn't a 3-stage paint, it's easier to color match and blend such a repair - but when it's metallic flake, it's more challenging from a DIY perspective.

Even Dr. Colorchip may work, but again the repaired areas may stand out as being a darker fill since you're working with such a small repaired area.

If you go this route what @ORRadtech said. They have a good website and everything you need besides just the paint. GL but like others have said and depending on the results you want may be better off having a shop do it.

Thanks for the detailed response. It’s Mischievous Purple. Not sure if it’s 3 stage paint.

2 n 1 touch up pen with Clearcoat on the other end. Very thin layers building up, after a day or 2 add the clear coat layers and wet sand a day later.

There are specialty shops, some even offer mobile service, check your local tint, detail, ppf shops. They do "spot" repairs like this. It's common repair at a dealership including Ferrari, Porsche, etc
