Were you doing anything under the hood prior to this happening?
Check plus/coils for starters. Something is causing a misfire.
Did this happen right after the cat back install?

My problems happen after getting the Steeda CAI and tune. Steeda was never able to tune their CAI for me so I ended up going to another tune who got the job done. Few weeks ago I upgraded my tires from 235 to 275 and now the traction is amazing that I have much harder pulls, exposing the problem. I ended up just putting everything back to stock for the CAI and tune and the issue remained. Its really hard to reproduce in drive mode, but possible. I'm hoping its the spark plugs because few hours ago I did a hard pull during testing in the higher gears at a lower speed and got it to give po302, po304 and po300

I would attempt to get a data log of the event and send it to your tuner and see what he thinks.

Well we found the issue, but only because the problem got worse. Oil was leaking into cylinder 2 and maybe cylinder 3. The car started doing a po302 from idle and that's when things became obvious there was a serious issue. Compression test for cylinder 2 was 150 while everything else was over 200. Cylinder 3 was not bad like cylinder 2 but obvious not like the rest of them. So I guess this confirms my worse case. This is a NA build, only 11k miles. So the engine is going to start getting dismantled to see exactly how bad it is and what needs to be repaired.

In the meantime, since the engine is being opened up, what upgrades to the 2018 mustang gt stock base automatic ten speed that runs full bolts and could easily support 7-9 pounds of boost in the future.

If you’re refreshing the stock motor and it *might* see boost one day, first consider opening up the top ring gap to about .016 or maybe .018. Second, consider upgrading to a forged piston like the mahle drop-in. Finally, you could install thicker head gaskets to lower compression a bit. Cometic makes these.

Might just be a head gasket
