Speedometer

Am I the only one that is disappointed that a digital speedometer in the middle screen isn't an option?

Is there a way to add it aftermarket?

im sure someone can code it into the mix. I was also gonna ask around and see if anybody can code shift lights...in my other car, when I was needing to shift the blinker indicator would flash then remain steady....

There's a diagnostic mode that will display one. I can't recall the button, but do some searches on this forum. That said, it's pretty worthless, and you need to put it in this mode every time.

Maybe Ford can add one with a software update. Definitely miss having it.

When I set the cruise control a tiny digital speedo comes on. Disengage the cruise (without turning it off) and it may stay on.

1) hold the 'OK' button on the steering wheel while the car is off

2) keep holding the button down and turn the car on

3) release the button after your gauge cluster screen says it has entered a diagnostic mode

4) use the steering wheel's directional buttons to find the digital speedo

5) realize how useless it is

6) never bother using this feature ever again

That's just the set speed. When disengaged, it won't change speed and will dim down until resume is pressed.

correct, using maintenance mode for viewing the speed is pretty useless. that's why people are asking for a more polished solution. personally, while I would love to have it, I don't see ford updating existing cars with this feature.

Would like a shift like like the premiums have on the base. Speedo idk about. I use cruise control alot which displays the digital speed.

There are just two things I miss on my Mustang that were standard on my '14 Grand Cherokee. A very large center digital speedo option setting and a heated steering wheel. (Don't knock the steering wheel unless you've owned a car with it.)

The 15 mustang should have a digital speedo it's ridiculous that it doesn't have it.
