I don't speed in the city but I've got an ALP on detection mode only that records all Lidar hits and it's pretty intimidating. Over 40 real hits in the first year I've had the car. If you don't speed it's just a number but if you do then you need to understand they do target these cars heavily.

I've had several cops shoot me coming and going, I even had one moto cop shoot me then waited until a pickup truck passed me then he shot me again. No tickets in this bad boy yet but how often they target this car instead of others around me I stick to the slow lane around town.

Red sportscar tho, you do pay a premium for that.

Maybe I don't understand how your jammer works, but how would you know if he's targetting other vehicles or not? They could just be lighting up everyone.

Detection mode only? Wait...wait...wait... You're trying to tell me you bought $2000 laser jammer and only run it in detection mode?!? I smell some horse puckey. LOL

Very possible. If the heads receive the pulse rate then they would probably store that as a hit. But I have the same system on a Mercedes ML500 and I've got 6 which is the three shots done by the three guns I tested it with. And that ML commutes about the same distance if not more.

That rig is for the interstate only. I don't know if you've ever been to Houston but you can rarely get over the speed limit anyway. There's 4 million people here and six million cars.

Profile A: detection and parking only (typical setting around town)
Profile B: Laser defense 4 second cutoff (when I trip to Dallas or Austin)
Profile C: Laser defense unlimited (for testing only)

Now when I roadie to NOLA I'm in Cannonballer mode. Unlimited interference defense, police scanner, MRX aircraft detection the whole can of beans is going on much to my girfriends disapproval.

Become a first responder or nurse. Works for my wife every time.

Me, not so lucky. I don't have those special super powers.

I've lived in Atlanta and now Orlando. Same boat, unless I hit I-95 or the Turnpike for some open road. I've been looking at the ALP as an eventual add-on. Still waiting on my Uniden R3 to ship, too.

I use Waze for now, but it's worthless at night. Combined with the R3 and ALP would be a nice setup, though. It's too easy to hit 100 in these cars.

What's the MRX all about? Googled it but came up short on info.

I got pulled over a couple weeks ago. I was cruising along the back roads and suddenly I approach two cars doing about 40 in a 55, so I end up passing them, hitting speeds of about 70. Shortly after, I'm having the time of my life hitting the twisties. Roads completely clear, perfect, sunny day. A black F150 was going the opposite direction of me. Didn't really think anything of him. About 10 minutes later, I get out of the back roads and start to enter the city, a cop on the side of the road sees me and instantly turns on his sirens. He informs me that two people have reported me. The first was one of the cars I passed at supposedly high speeds. The other was an F150 that reported me for taking turns too fast, which I was informed, the driver of the F150 was able to tell I was, because my exhaust was "really cooking" (What?). At the end, the officer admitted that since he didn't see anything, he couldn't ticket me, but just that I needed to be more careful.

Your doomed, you admitted to speeding (big no-no)

Just pay up and move on.
If you have many stupid points, you need a lawyer to mitigate damages.
Very sound advice. Never admit to anything. Then fight it in court. It's actually very easy to beat a speeding ticket in court.

Heck they release drug dealers, murderers & rapists every day and
get away with these kind of things. There was not public or private
property damage and you did not injure or kill anybody. You should
be fine if you got a clean record - repeat offender -> bend over.

I lived in Atlanta back in the early 2000s. Traffic was a mess back then as well. I had a C5 Corvette back then and had no problems staying ticket free in that traffic LOL.

Sorry, you'd need to google Zaon MRX. LSP uses aircraft on the Atchafalaya bridge, and although the MRX is pretty handy Waze has been the best at spotting operations. If I see a cluster of cops pinned on Waze it's either an aircraft tagging drivers or an unmarked car pacing the area.

Got my car impounded going 230KM the other day as well by the pigs on an empty highway at 4 AM
Geez, you Canadian. Your cops are the worst, you need to get the Queen off your money and take your country back

Sounds like your blaming the cop. Its your fault, get a good radar detector and never get a ticket again!

Let's stop berating our nice neighbor to the north and talk radar detectors.

I used to use them years ago but the instant on radar and laser made them hit or miss.

How does today's Valentines and Passports work against those?

I don't speed much the last 12 years driving a Tacoma but a new GT may have me hitting the loud pedal a bit more!
