No I have tried different heat ranges, gaps and brands plugs make zero difference, the misfire cel is for number one cyl, swap coil and plug from another cly with zero misfire and still does it. It's clearly a software issue. I even used factory scan tool and did a misfire moniter relearn, no change.Hey MAP I was wondering, would you think this maybe a reason as to why some of the ecoboost guys are having random CEL's? Just based on your own personal opinion.
I haven't hard the car with the mysterious CYL 1 Misfire, however I would love to find someone that does have this code and get them into an Accessport so I can have them log some parameters and see if I can fix what Ford can't.No I have tried different heat ranges, gaps and brands plugs make zero difference, the misfire cel is for number one cyl, swap coil and plug from another cly with zero misfire and still does it. NGK for life!Upgrading the spark plugs is not a bad idea, I have recommended this to all my customers that have more than just an intake. NGK 6510 will serve you well, I'm also a huge fan of Denso ITV22 .
Adam, do you still recommend this when non-tuned but with several bolt-ons?Upgrading the spark plugs is not a bad idea, I have recommended this to all my customers that have more than just an intake. NGK 6510 will serve you well, I'm also a huge fan of Denso ITV22 .
Yup, they would be. The Valencia Spain built engines would be sourced in Europe and the Cleveland engines sourced locally.wouldn't that only matter if the plugs are manufactured at two different places? You could have two different assembly locations getting parts made from the same place, in the same batch even.
