No one is questioning the importance of a properly gapped plug, Im simply saying the average person is capable of gapping their own plugs without you or a $180 tool.
I'm simply stating the possible consequences in doing so.

So, nobody answered my question on if the denso's make a difference on a bone stock car. I badly want to do some mods, but with the driveline vibration problem still there, I can't justify it. But spark plugs I can do...
Beneficial on any vehicle regardless of modifications.

Just installed the Denso's that i bought from Adam yesterday. It was a pretty simple task and its nice having some peace of mind knowing that the gapping was properly done by a professional. Why do i hear some people say the Denso's are prone to failure?

Which is fine, however, you aren't installing them for them you are mailing them (and please dont reply with a 20 paragraph explanation of your packaging skills) to them for them to install. Someone changing their plugs should know how to read and properly gap their plugs ...end of story

My packaging skills are supreme. So supreme that the post office gave me an award for exceptional logistics in the packaging category. They even used my package as a model for their award. They simply took my spark plug package and had it molded in solid gold.

There was never a story to end, just a couple of educating post that you have no contest to. You said the damage can only happen when going to install, while that is possible the damaging is 98% caused when it comes to gapping iridium plugs. I gave you a post why, you chose to not disagree which makes me feel like you understand now but are only trying to have the last word.

So, I'll let you reply you can have the last word. :headbonk:

I never said it only happens when being installed. I said there is just as equal of a chance to mess the plug up as gapping it. It's not about having the last word with you, fact still remains people should know how to gap their own plugs. You disagree because you charge people to do this with your cool $180 tool.

Colder spark plugs are a preventative maintenance item more than anything. Unless your current plugs are improperly gapped, damaged, etc., there won't be a performance gain, as in horsepower. Plugs in and of themselves don't add horsepower.

Now, let's say that your plugs are improperly gapped. Depending on how bad they're out of the correct range, you can get misfires, spark blow out, poor mileage, and similar characteristics from the plugs. Installing new plugs will correct those problems and restore lost performance resulting from the aforementioned.

Since you have a stock car right now and are having some problems that the dealership will need to correct, I'd hold off on the plugs. Just pull yours out and make sure the gap is within the proper range. I've seen the factory plugs as far out as 0.035, so it's worth checking since it takes very little time to do.

On a stock car, I'd go with a 0.028 gap.

I pulled them a while ago and they were all at .030. I re-gapped them to .028. Didn't feel any difference but at least they are set correctly. I've gapped many hundreds of plugs over the years so no problem, but Adam is right about how fragile the iridium electrodes are...

replaced my car with denso itv22 last sunday, my car had been popping up with a check engine light (cylinder 4 misfire) sure enough when i pulled the plug 4, i shook the plug and it sound like something was broken inside the plug.

Another thing to note is that these were gapped to .35 from the factory,which is crazyy consider .28 is recommended.

It took longer finding the right sockets than actually swapping the plugs, first time i had done it. super easy job.

i noticed a full tank of gas lasted me from saturday til today, something that previously was not possible. also when i mash on the gas im definitely getting thrown into my seat again. there was definitely a lose in power just simply due to the plugs. I shouldve checked them a loooooong time ago.
