solution: hoodlatches. My aerocatch latches got rid of any hood movement at high speeds (granted, had them installed on my CF hood, which was HORRIBLY scary to drive at high speeds without any aka only did it once) . Yes you have to cut in your hood, but would rather do that then having my hood pop open at 100+mph (or any speed for that matter...)

For those wondering what the hood shake looks like, watch the hood... This was 60mph to 150ish with a tailwind

My 17 non R did this my 18R does not do it at all so something is different it may be from the smaller opening in the grill!

I've adjusted the bump stops on my mustangs to mitigate. My old GT did it and after adjustment I never noticed it again.

I don't think I've ever seen the GT350 though.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Thanks, I have the bulb type weather stripping attached to the top of my headlights and that had helped with the hood buffeting. These come down right over the headlight area and have to help for sure. I ordered a set from White Bear and they are obtaining them directly from Ford now. I’m convinced these are going to help a lot. Thanks again for posting.

They're all aluminum. I can't see the benefit of having different material for the different models. Other than the heat extractors in the GT hood, they should all be identical, otherwise that would be a manufacturing nightmare.
The hood itself is different between the GT and GT350 to accommodate the different front end design of the GT350. The hoods aren’t interchangeable.

@Niz55 thanks for the pics.

I can let you know if it works, I ordered the rubber pieces and I'm taking the car to the track in October. As everyone else, my hood lifts every time at 125+mph, which extra sucks especially when on the track. If this doesn't work, I might need to go with hood latches.

@AmericanV8Guy I was looking at the Aerocatch too. Which part# did you get? Thanks!~

Good point. Maybe that is why ford offers the R grill on the non R 2019 models. Took them a while to figure it out .

Also, the plastic piece has 3 tabs behind it and we only have 2 holes on our hoods. Not a big deal .you can always drill another one if it works.

I hope they tabs line up on the Shelby holes. If it doesn't don't blame me please. I really wanted to pull the damn piece off and try it on my car but it was in the showroom with everyone watching me.

One more thing,

The picture is the stamp number for the driver side . So you have left and right.

when you order order left and right .

Exactly the 2 parts I ordered :) I had to chat with Ford parts directly to get the part#s, should have them end of next week. And no worries, I'm not blaming you if they don't fit . I need to stop the hood lifting, and $50 is worth the risk.

Ya my R has distracting hold movement above 115 or so. Would love an easy solution to this

I can also confirm that my 18 R does not do this.
