Wheels to match the cars paint color will be the next big thing.
Black wheels are fine if clean

Maybe, and not here or be anything I 'd be interested in.

A car that looks like it was dipped in a bucket of paint, is just a plain & boring visual.

I agree...black wheels offer no contrast between tires and wheel well. I picked up a set of 19"x10", SVE S350's in gloss graphite which look better but still kind of dark. There is a wheel color caller hyper silver that I think would look really good on the Mustang. It has a black base coat with a top coat of silver that reflects as a silver color but the shadows are dark. Toyota and Lexus use this color on some of their wheels.

I dont understand how this solid black wheel thing has become so popular. I think black wheels with a silver lip look good, but solid black dont like it. And that is what my 2021 came with as well. I dont like that you cant really make out the tire from the wheel. Yea up close they are ok but it just looks diry. Does anyone agree with me?
I normally agree, on cars like ours with low sidewalls. Went this route instead with my 2003 Cobra, which is more what you're talking about:

Also why I went with the graphite PP2 wheels to replace the stock PP1 wheels on the 2018 GT.

But I do like the all-black on my Silverado with a bigger sidewall:

None of the three Mach 1 wheel options are black anymore either... probably starting a downswing in the trend. It'll be back eventually just like anything else.

I bought black rims but because chrome is just wrong and dated on a completely black car! That's just my opinion This is why we all have our own cars!!
I'm still finishing my complete look but yeah right now it's admittedly kind of boring to me. Also changed the chrome tips to black. More Red and Matte Black to come to break up all the black though!

What I really don't like is black wheels with thin spokes. When the car is moving the wheel completely disappears. It looks like a brake rotor floating in mid air. I much prefer something like the Hyper Silver shown in a previous post.

Black wheels are fine.
Don't take this the wrong way, as it is just my opinion of black wheels.
Your car and most with black wheels, looks like back when I was a new driver and could not afford mag's and had black steel wheels, and no hub caps.
To me, I don't see the point. but some like the look, if we all liked the same thing it be very boring.
But all these cars rolling on black wheels look like my 1986 t/a after my alum wheels got jacked and I had 4 steel black wheels on it, after it was recovered.
