With supporting mods it could be easy to reach $20k+. It would probably be around $30k.You are talking $20,000 at a minimum to reach GT350/Hellcat prices. I don't think it will cost that much.

I think you're wrong and I'm willing to bet someone will prove you wrong within one year from now. With supporting mods it could be easy to reach $20k+. It would probably be around $30k.

Fully Built EngineI think you're wrong and I'm willing to bet someone will prove you wrong within one year from now.

You don't need most of that stuff to make 1k hp. Suspension, brakes, wheels/tires don't count IMO because you are going to buy them for any car.Fully Built Engine
Fuel System
Big Turbo Kit
Built Trans
Clutch
Drive shaft
Rear End
Half Shafts
Suspension
Brakes
Wheels/Tires
yeah thats less than 20k....
ps
Labor lol
and tuning
So you are saying you are building a dyno queen entirely on your own? A 1000rwhp car that will be used for anything other than dyno runs will need every supporting mod I mentioned unless you have the auto, I'll give you that. You don't need most of that stuff to make 1k hp. Suspension, brakes, wheels/tires don't count IMO because you are going to buy them for any car.
The auto doesn't need to be upgraded at all, and the MT-82 will be fine as long as you aren't beating it to death. The clutch and half-shafts will need upgrading, I'll give you those. Why do you think the diff and driveshaft need to be upgraded? Have they actually been breaking on the 15's (I haven't looked)?
PS - Can't count labor and tuning, it's possible to do those yourself.

Best I can do is $2k.1. $1000
2. $5000 + $1000 for cylinder head
3. Not needed
4. $1000
5. $600
6. Not needed
7. $1100
8. Not needed, I would actually prefer stock suspension up front and just some springs out back, so lets say $185
9. Factory brakes are fine, good pads $250
10. $1000
Total - $11,135.00
Labor - R&I of Engine $1300
Labor - Convert Shortblock into Longblock $800
Tuning - $160 per hour x 3-4 hours
Total - $2260.00
Grand Total - $13,395.00
This in no way is a set price, this is just throwing it off the top of my head based on what we usually charge for EVO/Subaru builds. The Mustang will be fairly close, +/- $2,000.
$100.00 more an you can get a P1 kit ;)Best I can do is $2k.
1000 horses is awesome regardless of platform. Stupid money in either one but definitely something we all dream of driving and owning. If you want big numbers like that I think its a hell of alot smarter to get a 5.0 and throw twins and a shot on it. I like the ecoboost because its more of a mod and have usable power type of platform. 500whp is totally usable anything above is more of a straight line/bragging rights type of thing.
