This is my 1st post here long time lurker. I understand why its not offered but dont like it at all. I am thinking of ordering one but want the pp but would like the auto so my wife can drive it. I already own a 2014 Camaro 1LE ( hate me if you must) ..no fan boy here...and she cant drive it. So if I get a Mustang w/pp i am really going to the dog house. Lol decisions decisions
What's your reasoning for wanting the PP? Is it 'just because' or do you plan to actually track the car? Not saying there's a right answer, but if it's the former, it sounds like the WAF may need to take precedence over what would ultimately amount to some minor cosmetic differences and a slightly stiffer ride.

Happy wife = happy life ;)

FLAMETHROWER!!!!! Just kidding. It would be cool to know your interest in the Mustang over your Camaro?

Also teach that woman how to drive or tell her tooooo bad. Haha. Mine just gives me a grumpy face while I row the gears.
Lol ...been trying to teach her ...trust me , its a lost cause. I am keeping the camaro just looking to add to the family. I just really like this new S550. Especially in competition orange.

True on the happy wife comment. I will track it some buts its like my 1le I guess. I dont need the track package but its alot more fun to drive and handles like its on rails for a big pig lol. Plus for what you get on the pp its a good bargain I think. IDK what to do yet but we want another car so it may be the auto.

I know exactly how you feel OP. I had the same reaction when I found out there was no AT with the PP. Mainly I wanted the Brembos and I actually liked the black wheels. But the more I really thought about it the better I feel going with the auto and "missing out" on the PP.

First of all the car comes out in the fall so the non staggered all season tires will be better for me through the fall and winter as this will be my DD. Gives me time before late spring to save up and get the exact summer wheels and tires I want and throw them on for the nice weather.

Second I can always buy the brembo brake package later too. I think its like $1800 on american muscle. I really dont think I will need it though as all I am likely to do is a bit of light drag racing once or twice a month tops with the guys at work for kicks and bragging rights.

Lastly there will be better suspension options later to get the car just the way I want it down the line. This is my third Mustang and if I have learned anything its that modding it and making it your own is half the fun.

As for the Brembos, I know I might get flamed for this...but IMO if you are buying the automatic you probably won't be track/AutoXing enough to need them anyway.
That's not necessarily true. I've been racing cars (on an amateur level) for years, and have absolutely no idea how to use a manual transmission -- my racing team has an Audi A4 with a DCT we use for rallying. But if you asked me to try to drive a car with a manual transmission, you might as well ask me to fly an airplane for all the good it would do. The one and only time I've ever tried to drive a car with a manual, I stalled over 100 straight times (over the course of two hours) trying to get the car into first gear without ever successfully getting into gear -- stalled every time. So buying a manual transmission car is completely out of the question, but I'd still like to take it to the track every now and then.

Honestly, everything that comes with the PP will be replaced for me anyway, with the exception of maybe the radiator and the front lip.

If I had to choose between the stuff that comes with PP or NOT having the mt82, i'll take the auto every day.

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous to get a manual when you can have an automatic...lol...

If you didn't even get it into gear you were doing something very, very, very wrong.

I have no idea if you're being sarcastic or not here. There are plenty of reasons to get a manual transmission. However, if you don't know how to use one (and I don't), you might as well be buying a really expensive paper weight as a car with a manual transmission.

Start the car. Depress the clutch. Put the gear shift lever in the slot for first gear. Let go of the clutch. Stall.

Repeat that 100 consecutive times until the car's battery was about to die and I had to stop.

I've always wanted to learn how to drive a manual transmission car, but there are no schools that teach you how to; rental fleets don't have rental cars with manuals that you can try to learn on; and I don't know anybody who owns a car with a manual. So I don't really have a way to learn.

you forget the part where are letting the clutch out you have to simultaneously give the car gas to get rolling.

It's difficult to coordinate the movement of both legs independently of each other at exactly the same time when you're not used to doing that. And if you just try using one leg, the car stalls before you can move your right foot from the clutch to the gas.

Or, in any event, that was my experience the one time I tried it as a teenager almost 20 years ago. I haven't even sat in a car with a manual transmission since then, so I really couldn't say.

Say no more, if this is true then an automatic is your best friend. :headbang:
