My wish list:

1) I wish the 2015's door panels still weren't hard plastic like the 2005-2014s. They feel like I'm in an interior designed by Rubbermaid with some soft-touch panels tacked on. No excuse for hard plastic in a premium model costing $35K-$50K considering the 2014 Focus and Fusion, for example, use nicer materials for their door panels and are cheaper cars.

2) Get rid of the ugly coolant recovery tanks shown on the prototypes and replace them with something at least as nice as the black-topped tanks used on the 2005-2014s.

3) Eliminate the 1st-2nd gear skip-shift feature on the 6-speed manual. The 2011-2014s have it and I'm assuming the 2015s have it, too.

4) Eliminate the hood prop rod.

5) Offer a delete option for the front splitter. It is too easily damaged when parking or when debris hits them while driving on the highway. If the retaining clips pull through the bumper after something impacts the splitter, an entire new bumper may be needed in order to reattach the splitter. Ain't cheap! The splitter is fine for the track, but not at all practical on the street. Speaking from experience.

Skip shift long gone as of 2013 model.

Have you sat in a 2015 to give us a review of the interior material?

The splitter is for better aero ...

This guy has sat in a 2015 and provided detailed information on the interior, including the material of the door panel. Here's the permalink:

Yep, I know what the splitter is for. Its main purpose is to provide a downforce to the front end of the car at high speed for better stability. I don't plan on racing my car and don't need the splitter.

I believe this feature was removed in 2013 - I haven't noticed it in either the 2013 or 2014 GTs I've driven.
That is fantastic news! I was unaware of that but, after seeing your reply, I googled this and found several forums where folks are also saying this for the 2013s. Hoping it doesn't come back in the 2015! Thanks!

I would also like heated/cooled Recaros

Glass roof or even a Lincoln based retractable roof would be awesome.

1) Wish they would have offered Saddle Interior with Race Red. Seems perfect combo.
2) Wish they would have offered Premium V6.

Never heard of that feature, but dang it sounds AWFUL. Glad they removed it.

Moonroof/sunroof for sure. I was really disappointed about that not being available
For now that is…once I drive it I believe my list will grow for sure, to be expected though in any car.

It is pretty awful. It attempts to make you shift from 1-to-4 under certain conditions by providing a resistance to the 2nd gear gate via a solenoid. If you don't know it is on the car it can surprise you and cause you to hesitate or not shift at all (and give the car behind you issues if they are trying to keep up with the Mustang :D). Many manufacturers added it in the past as a fuel savings "feature."

From the 2012 Mustang User's Manual:

Skip Shift (if equipped) (V8 engines only)

This feature locks out 2 (Second) and 3 (Third) gears for improved fuel economy. If the message center displays 1–> 4 SHIFT, shift the transmission directly from 1 (First) to 4 (Fourth), otherwise you can shift normally. Refer to Message center in the Instrument Cluster chapter.

You could bypass the feature by yanking the solenoid or getting a custom tune.

On corvettes its a resist or (resistor as part of a custom plug insert) on the transmission. Its basically irrelevant as its $15 to remove at most and saves a bunch of dollars of gas guzzler taxes.

2) A larger fuel tank. It always surprises me when automakers stick these performance cars with tiny tanks. I'm not concerned about mpg (my current car averages 13), but a 16 gallon tank means frequent fuel stops on the GT (can folks share what range they are getting on current GT's). The ecoboost will be better (I wouldn't personally get it) but they SHRUNK the tank size there by half a gallon!
I thought I was reading somewhere on this forum (or maybe in an auto magazine) that 0.5 shrinkage was a "trick" in terms of determining fuel economy numbers. The implication was the tank remained the same size.

My list is small -

1) wish you could have spoiler deleted with the 50th anniversary appearance package without getting the performance pack
2) wish the 18" low gloss foundry wheels were 19"
3) wish the 5.0 engine cover was more "beautiful"

That's it!

none
- PP wheels in more color (i.e. gunmetal & black)
- high quality interior material (no cheap plastic)
- glass roof
- V6 in Premium with all packages option like EB/GT

First & second wish might already be in works, we will not know until the production cars comes out.
