I found a good solution for the chaffing issue on the Recaro seats. I picked up some velvet like material with a light adhesive on the back. I cut it to fit the areas I want protective. It goes on and stretch’s a bit around the curvy parts of the seat bolsters.

So far so good. I’ll update this thread regarding how durable the material is.

Thanks,

I make it a point to get in and out of the car without sitting on or going over the bolster.

Hi Bob,

It’s a felt Ike material.

Where did you purchase it? Walmart or perhaps a fabric store?

So basically this thing is glued to the seat with the adhesive. That is going to ruin the seats when you take it off later on .

I hear what you are saying, however, the adhesive on this material is very light. You can easily peel it up and then stick it back down. No residue is left that I can see upon inspection.

And considering the options, which are expensive custom seat covers or allowing the seat to become frayed over time, or trying to get in an out perfectly every time you enter and exit, i’m good with the felt.
