Us guys that bought the 50th Year appearance package option, and I know that the still plates do not lite up with option, when the the door is opened, But i did order the still plates that lite up from ford parts, and installed them, but they still will not lite up.... Has any one else ran into this same scenario? Or found away to make them lite up? Thanks

Not yet it seems.

This thread has info from Ford that there is no power wired to the harness with the 50 year AP.

You will probably need wiring schematics to hook it up.

They were removed from the 50th AP because the LE also does not have the lighted sills.

Were they about $140 a side?

I bet these cars are set up like the Chrysler stuff now, can bus and lin bus. basically all the wiring is there, but you need a scanner to go in and turn the feature on.

Yea, that's what Rachel said. I suspect the 'enable feature' issue is going to be the tough part.
on a Chrysler you enter the option code number with the scan tool and it turns the feature on in the body control module. Im sure someone at Ford will figure out how to do this soon.
