Or use a heat gun or hair dryer to allow the film to stretch, similar to how it and other wraps are applied.
Just BE CAREFUL. Enough is enough, too much is not happy.

EXCELLENT advice. And the range from just enough to too much is short. Just take a piece of PPF or vinyl wrap and hit it with a heat gun until you see deformation That's the best way to find the correct temp.

I decided that "Over the top" stripes had been done to death...and so I designed my own side stripes and had a local company produce and install them.

I like the side stripes. The car was missing something in that area. The only thing I might have done different is put the stripes on the outside of the Xpel. They are cheap and if they ever got dinged up, it wouldn't be a lot of money to replace. This would also give you flexibility to remove the stripe later down the road without removing the Xpel.

Personally, my car had stock stripes on the top and sides.

I had them removed.
Initially I regretted worrying about losing value but I love the clean look so much more

I can’t really find a photo with my cars stripes, I found a gt with the overtop stripes but mine also had rocket mold stripes
