Great data BEEF!
Here is my dumb question of the day for this forum (I'm sure I've already surpassed my daily limit for work and life in general for today)... Did you guys do a run of the stock manifolds/headers with an X or H pipe and no other pipes or resonators or mufflers for baseline data? Just to see how much power was truly gained.

To simply say "compare our dyno numbers to another car is just "silly". The Lund manual car is running the ARH headers and JLT and made 10hp or so less than what your car made on the dyno, same mods. That doesn't mean you get to the track that the Lund car runs quicker and traps higher with the same mods as you. Every car, every dyno, every day is different. We dyno'd our car last month in what seemed to be identical conditions 2 days apart. The car consistently made 7hp less across the board...

we didn't do the stock manifolds without the exhaust hooked up, we only did that to compare the 2 aftermarket headers and take exhaust out of the equation

Do you have the base numbers before the test?

the autos are tough, converter not locking on the dyno, plus they dyno lower, and our dyno is stingy.

manuals is where you'll see the larger gains on the dyno

i'll have to look back and see what we started with, we were originally at 340's

Just curious on what I should expect with my automatic from my LT catted Kooks which should be mailed soon so not a big deal. Hoping to get over that 400 number for whatever it's worth lol. At 385/372 as you well know... I've got a Lund certified shop doing the install so hoping to get some extra out of that.

So I started shopping for an exhaust yesterday and I think I'm right here about to pull the trigger on the MBRP Stainless Street. Which headers mate up to this cat back? I know the catback alone will not get me much gain on a STOCK GT AUTO... What am I looking to be at with Headers (which one), MBRP Catback, and SCT Tune?

any of them will work, the stainless power will be the least expensive

i went with stainless power and mbrp streets and feel pretty good about it after extensive butt dyno evaluation. sound is like i expected and chose for based on forum info. deep low rpm, quiet idle, nice roar@wot

I like my JLT lund combo as well, and i would think it makes better use of headers over the stock intake. Regardless , if I ever get to a centri unit the car is closer to being "ready" for it.

Beefcake,

Thank you for taking the time to do this comparison test between the systems.
