After installing my SP headers and running them for a while, I noticed a spot where I believe the passenger side header may be making contact with the car. Sorry for the shitty pic, I had to zoom in on my phone because I couldn't reach all the way in with the car in the air. I'll try and get a better pic.

It looks like bolt/bracket that holds the AC line there. There isn't much room, so I assume when the engine torques it's going to make contact. The first log I ran had some knock in it with what I consider conservative timing for E85...I should be adding timing throughout the band. I chalked it up to not having run the tune for long, and it still adjusting. However, I think the header may be making contact there and causing some false knock.

What are your guys thoughts? What are my options there? It seems like a bitch to get to without taking the header off.

I went through the same thing while data logging for Lund. I had some false knock after my header install. I looked at the same area under the hood and thought that bracket was my issue. I even stuck a mirror down by the primary tube to look for "witness marks". I didn't see any. I then unbolted the driver's side motor mount and jacked the motor up to simulated some twisting. It comes close, but still doesn't hit.

Come to find out it was a collector clamp against the floorboard chattering. I ended up rotating the band clamp and now my false knock is gone (confirmed by Lund too).

I installed all my clamps so they wouldn't contact. It looks like the clearance is less than 1/4" there, but maybe at that point it doesn't move enough to touch.

I have the same thing, I believe it's an a/c line. After thousands of miles and 1.59 60' times I have no indication of it hitting the header.

It's definitely a bracket holding the AC line. I haven't tested to see if it hits yet, but looking at other angles it looks like there may be more clearance than it seems like from the top. Drop mounts to fit a Boss would probably give it even more clearance....although I've already found a small scrape on the bottom of my headers. If I go that route I'll have to be ultra careful.
