Mine are Avery as well; dark blue with light blue pinstripes.

Avery stripes are by far the best.

I have a magnetic 2016 and debating on flat black dual narrow stripes with a red or a blue pinstripe. Would love to see if anyone has this setup.
I have gloss black, but you get the idea at least.

Would I get arrested if I put stripes on a ecoboost? :)

Deep impact blue with custom gloss black stripes. Thought it matched the car better than the flat black. She looks mean!

I agree. Gloss with gloss, metallic with metallic, etc.

Gloss stripes are lower maintenance, too (no masking, etc. during waxing).

So if you get gloss stripes, you can wax them like the rest of the car??

Sure. (Or seal instead of wax.) You have to avoid getting wax on matte stripes, and most guys tape off their edges to accomplish that.

Bear in mind that vinyl stripes are more delicate, so cleaning them carefully is the biggest challenge. Even a surface scratch starts to "tan" and then fade, which accentuates the damage.

I have replaced segments of mine because of cleaning damage, and ultimately covered all top surfaces of my car with clear film, primarily to protect the stripes during cleaning sessions.

Certain types of waxes are bad for vinyl. Waxes with petroleum distillates and abrasives are a no-no. I use Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax on the stripes because I think I read that's what Big Worm Graphics uses. Works well.

Here is a Avery document with their suggested cleaners/waxes:
http://graphics.averydennison.com.c...enance for Vehicle Wraps (Rev 4 10-16-15).pdf
The document pertains to wraps, but I think it's probably applicable to stripes.
