Got the Roush out yesterday and the Shelby out today. Quick detail spray before leaving the house. Dust off and detail spray again before putting back in the garage. My ā€œshine routine ā€œ. Stopped by a friends house on my way home, other guys were cruising and stopping by. Everyoneā€˜s got the same feeling, got to get out and drive!
Ahhh, what a nice day!

I just got some Polish Angel I wanted to try on my commuter before I put it on my Mustang, so far Iā€™m happy but we will see how long it lasts.

@Les was kind enough to give me a list of products to try, that will be next on the list.

Hereā€™s a picture of my test results of 3 different products on my friends Mercedes hood. This is after four months of sitting out in the winter. No washing maintenance, just sitting outside.

CarPro Reload on the right
Looking at it in person itā€™s very clear which one lasts the longest. Very distinct line where PolishAngel was applied. Drying the hood with a towel, the PolishAngel section feels really slick and definitely looked blacker. The other two sections felt dry. When using a blower to dry the paint
the water flies off the PolishAngel section.
I have to find the right car to test Koch Chemie wax. Itā€™s even slicker and a tiny bit shinier using the gloss meter.

I tried out the Iron buster on my truck yesterday. While it got rid of a fair amount of the fallout, there was still some residual left behind. I did a clay bar wipe down which got rid of the balance, as well as the gritty feel on the paint. Polished up and looks like new.

My question is. If the GT has a ceramic coating on it which previous owner says it does, what steps do you take to get rid of the residual contamination if you arenā€™t supposed to use the clay bar on a ceramic film? I want to start on the car in the next week, but want to be sure I have what I need before I start.

The ceramic coating should help with regards to the iron remover getting rid of all the fallout. Part of the coatings job is to keep that stuff from bonding with your clearcoat. You can use a fairly generous amount of the iron remover and let it dwell for a few minutes, just make sure to rinse it off thoroughly before it dries on the car.
