I wanted to match the stripes of the GT350. My detailer installed my stripes today but the black pinstriping is not the way it is on the GT350. He's willing to change it but, given that it doesn't look "bad", I wanted to get the consensus of the forum: Which striping is "cooler".

I know it's what I like best, BUT...which one will turn more heads? :D

If you like it keep it. Personal preference in all. Makes it less of a copy and more distinguishable.

It would had be nice if the detailed would had used Google before the job

I'm not a fan of stripes in general but the black pin stripes actually go well with your black mirrors and emblems.

He definitely had a picture that I had given him...he just didn't communicate with his vinyl guy...who used the instructions on the kit.

Part of my decision is that there's a ceramic coating now on the car. When the pinstriping comes off, they'll have to polish off this coating (in the area of the stripe), reapply the striping, then re-apply the coating.

I actually kind of like it. It's different and original.

However, if it's not what you really wanted....

It earns a few points for being different, but I prefer the pinstripes to border the main stripes (GT350 style). It looks more aggressive that way, and I prefer the aggressive look.

Just get him to redo the black pin strip like the gt350 above. The pin strip does not look good being spaced out imo.

The separation between the blue and black makes the black way more noticeable than if it was directly next to the blue stripe. If you don't want the black to stand out, I would have them pull it and move it. I personally like the way it looks now, it looks more unique.

It depends on how accurate they are. It's much easier to get them aligned straight if they're up against the main stripes. I've seen some jobs where the pins aren't aligned properly and they have little waves in them. Other than that, go with what you prefer man. If it's his mistake and you want it fixed, do it immediately. Don't wait.
