well imagine my horror seeing the state of my windscreen this evening (you need to know my full warranty saga from the beginning of the year for that to make sense)! I hate to have to write a post like this.

My mind is flicking between full panic/stress mode and feeling confident it’s just down to the weather on this occasion.

Important to mention here that the Mustang has been sat on the drive for a good couple of weeks - not even opened the door, exposed to all the elements, temp changes etc - today was relitively warm/sunny here and obviously now the temp has dropped since sun down.

So is this normal bearing in mind how mine is kept on the drive like this? I would say i’m confident that Ford addressed my faulty seal/water ingress issue but you all know how much they fucked around so i’ll never be 100% satisfied. Other pic is part of a write up on my warranty issue that I insisted on.

Carpet is not obviously wet, but i didn’t have a thorough check - just a quick one.

Anyone else out there have this with their stang, or other cars when left sat for an extended period of time? Please tell me its normal! A quick google suggests it is, some models more prone than others.

Thanks in advance guys

More than likely there was some additional moisture in the car although they said they "left to dry out completely." Perhaps take it for a long drive with AC and Heater on and see if that dries it out more.

But definitely check for any dampness.

I think I usually always have the ac on - whatever temp I have it set to.

I should mention - the warranty fix was completed in April. Should be bone dry considering the time span. So my thinking is either this is normal - or there is still an issue.

You don't need much water to do that so if the floor mat was wet the last time you drove it then that may be enough. certainly something on the drivers side with the look of it. If the climate is on auto it will quickly dry out on the next journey then see if it happens again.

Well I've just been through the leaking car stuck with Ford for 7 weeks fun myself, so I really hope you don't have a leak, as it bodes ill for my own situation.
Mine sits on the drive too and so far it doesn't look like that....

I had similar in a Mondeo a few years ago and it was a disconnected A/C drain pipe in the drivers footwell. Footwell was very soggy so easy to find

Thats the thing mate, i DID have a leak, a bad one - loads of water got in when it snowed early this year/Dec last year. After all the hassle i went through it should be fixed.

Part of me worries its not 100 resolved though.

I’m thinking i should use it for a few days and minitor closely

if it helps to make you worry any more i went out in a downpour the other day i was soaking, the inside of the drivers door and seat and dash and carpet all got totally soaked i mean the amount of water that was coming down was biblical.

and even with all that ..... i don't condense up that bad.

I think that's the only course of action, but I must say that doesn't look good. The first inkling I had that mine was leaking was condensation like you have there, once it started raining after the long hot summer. My dealer traced the leak to the firewall grommets, fixed it and so far (crosses fingers) all is well.
Hopefully it will just turn out to be it standing in damp conditions for a while, but I shall be following your progress with keen interest. Good luck!

Yea the firewall grommet was supposedly a common one, i know a few that had that - an easy fix, unlike mine which was a broken seal somewhere in the a pillar

Difficult to judge from your initial picture.

Until earlier this year I had a 64 plate A5 convertible.
It was getting really bad condensation on the inside of the windshield, actual droplets just sitting on the inside surface of the glass.
A/C wouldn't shift it. Dealer needed to see the issue before agreeing to address it (the car was still within it's 3yr warranty)
Catch22 was how do you drive your car to the dealer when you can't see through the big window for all the condensation on it?

Some what counter intuitively Audi indentfied a seal in the boot/trunk was to blame.
I suspect they knew where to start.
Seal replaced under warranty and no condensation after that.

If the condensation doesn't clear, very quickly, when you use the demist setting on the H-VAC, then I'd suggest the dealer needs to look into the issue.
Sorry to learn you're having these issue, best of getting it assessed and sorted.

If its any consolation I've had windows like that before, and when i checked my carpets they were dry.I think it was more to do with the climate control than anything.

If the condensation persists then here’s a tip that might help. Fill a couple of old large woollen socs with siica based (super absorbent) cat litter and tie a knot in each sock to stop the litter spilling out. Place a filled sock under each front seat and they will absorb excess moisture out of the air in the car.

It could just be down to weather conditions, if there is a rapid change in temperature any moisture in the air just condenses on the coldest surface in this case the screen. A couple of weeks ago I was driving my open car with no heater & the screen very quickly fogged up both sides.
