So the car had to be left overnight without windscreen due to fault in replacement.

It was repaired the next day whilst I was away.

Meant I couldnt take car with me on 3 day trip and my old car broke down on said trip.

Now I find the rain sensor doesnt work. It is checked in the menu. I see the sensor has a sticky pad. I cant tell if its still sticking to screen but maybe 24 hours unstuck to screen has feked it.

Anyone else had this sensor prob after changing windscreens?

I thought i had, there seemed to be a delay with lots of spots of rain on screen before wiping, even at most sensitive but it seems to be ok now.

I called Autoglass who seemed very understanding and got a guy to call me. He called me 15 minutes later but by then I had another good look at the sensor and thought that it needed a good push against the glass to be properly seated.

There is a sprung bracket on the holder that looks like it should do the job but a good push and it was working again.

I wonder if the fitter hadn't given it a good press for fear of unseating the just glued in windscreen.

Or the sticky gel part of the sensor has lost its stickiness.
