This is my first Mustang... first Ford actually. A lot of tuners have specialties and a few of the Cobb places I tried don't do Ford's (a lot of Audi, VW, Subaru and Mitsu).
Does anyone have any places in the GTA that they recommend. I live in Milton but work in Markham those that covers the top/west part of GTA.

If anyone has any recommendations anywhere else in Canada feel free to post them here as it'll only help the group.

I'm not looking to do a ton of work but will most likely get
tune - Cobb or Bama
CAI - JLT or AirRaid
Lowering springs
Strut and K Brace
Rims/tires - Tires23 (Mississauga)and J&D Tires (Milton) and Great

Thinking about 3.55 gears

You can visit steeda.ca for your performance needs too!

They handle our Steeda line of products ... a great source!

That's awesome. Sometimes people don't know what's right in front.
That place is literally a 10 minute walk from my house.

Congratulations on your Mustang, that's awesome! I've been hunting for the right car for quite some time now and I think it's going to pop up really soon. It sounds like you may have a little bit of a mod bug?

If you're looking to get it Tuned I would definitely a look at the Airaid Synthaflow CAI & X4 Tuner. The Cold Air Intake is literally like nothing I've ever seen before and it's that much better in person. It definitely turns heads at local meets and car shows and I highly recommend it! Check out some reviews below:

Check out our video as well to get a better idea of what a Bama Tune can do for your EcoBoost!

If you're set on closing the wheel gap on these cars which isn't really that great at all I would highly recommend looking into the Eibach Pro Kit Springs - While the 2015's suspension has greatly improved there's still some pitch and roll that I personally don't like. Lowering the car is not only going to make it look that much more aesthetically as well as the handling but also help the acceleration and braking. Check out this Red GT Below and let me know what you think!

In regards to the Struts and Braces we don't have them on site yet but we will really shortly as our vendors are wrapping up their prototype testing!

I'm not sure what kind of wheels you're after but we have a slew on site over at the 2015 Wheel Section. I'm pretty partial to the AMR Wheels as I have them on my '08 right now and I think they have a really classic look. At the end of the day it's your car. So take time selecting your mods!

I also shot you a PM with our 6G Specific Discount Code as well...Let me if you ever have any questions at all, I have PM's pushed to my phone and I'm always available!

Hope this helps!

Alex

Thank you for all of the information.
One of my concerns is shipping to Canada, which can get pretty pricey.

I think I'm pretty set on the Steeda springs.
the AMR look good and seem to be a good value. I'll seriously consider them.
For tune, I really can't seem to decide. I've been bouncing back and forth between Cobb and Bama and now it's more complicated with Steeda just down the street from me and their tune should be out soon.

Luckily I have a little time as it doesn't make much sense to do it now with the weather the way it is up here.

geokots,

You're very welcome! I know how the shipping can be and I'm more than happy to work with you on the parts to get you the best deal possible! Our shipping cost includes tax, duty, as well as brokerage fees so that once your order is delivered there's no Cash on Delivery or any hidden fees!

If you're to have any question at all, Don't hesitate to let me know! I'm always around to help!

The problem these days is the exchange rate. We are getting raped buying from US. Prices are also going up locally due to the shops getting most of their parts from the States. Really hope the dollar improves a bit by spring or there is going to be a big damper on my short term mod plans.

That's why I don't order anything at all. Prices for us are already 20% higher with the CAD at 79 US cent. And IMO I can't get the "US shipping free" and we have to pay the full shipping price and on top "sponsor" the shipping costs for "US customers". Take a look at: http://www.americanmuscle.com/?utm_...le&gclid=CKHv65qSwcMCFUzXKgodqRAAiA&gclsrc=ds

Top line: "Free Shipping on Everything. Seriously. Details"
The shipping is already in the prices included. So what? Canadians have to pay the full price (included shipping costs for US customers) plus shipping fees to Canada.

We pay already 20% more for the same cars than US customers. I will only buy from local shops if something is on sale. I won't support companies like American Muscles who ship for free to US customers but like to sell parts for the same price to Canadians without a discounted parts price to get the shipping costs back.

@AmericanMuscle
Don't try to "explain" that parcels in the USA getting shipped for free. No shipping company works for free!

Everyone can check online how much shipping costs would be, online. Companies getting a discount from around 10-20% for shipping more parcels.
Look here at this website what companies asking alone to ship hood struts. I paid with RPI only $9.50 to get it shipped to my house. Other sellers are asking 35 USD! As long companies offer free shipping for their US customers and trying to "rip off" Canadians - I won't support that.

It's on you guys if you feel comfortable with that what companies are doing with you. And for guys living in the Toronto area. I would make a nice 2 hour trip South before paying any shipping costs. Period! In my case it would take me 7 hours to only hit the US border. Maybe in the late Spring or early Summer a longer trip South. Looking at wheels and shipping - that would pay for the gas and hotel alone.

Shipping to Canada can be bad especially if there are additional fee to receive the product.
This is a fact of life here. I deal with it on a regular basis. Some companies know how to work the system to make it as fair as possible.
American Muscle is fair. Every Canadian company has an exchange buffer so sometimes buying in US$ and dealing with credit card exchange can be a little difference. I use a 5-10% exchange buffer depending on how volatile it's been. Credit cards usually use 2-4%.

Then there brokerage and duty that can add quite a bit.

The fact that AM claims no additional tax or duty helps the shipping/exchange burden.

What we deal with sucks but there are a number of Canadian companies we can work with. To point at AM for a Canadian shipping issues I don't think is justified.

Also AM does provide us with a discount. If you can find cheaper product or better shipping then you have the power as a consumer to buy from wherever you chose.

Steeda also has many sales throughout the year ... definitely worth checking here & there to help offset the cost.

I haven't compared yet with steeda.ca vs steeda.com but I will once the EB tune and CAI is available.

BTW, how much longer for both?

Discount is mostly given to all customers. The point that shipping is free because "duty, taxes and other fees" are already calculated into the price is a joke by itself! Sorry! With the CAD down to 79 cent, I am sure to check Steeda.ca. I hope Steeda is fixing their problems out!

then buy anywhere you want and stop bitching on a thread that was intended for Canadian tune shop recommendations.

Wow! Who gives you the right to tell people what to post? Why is American Muscle posting here? Did you ask them to stop post in "your" Canadian thread? I think I missed that !

Get a life!

Actually I have the right to say whatever I want.
All you seem to do is going around complaining about this or that.
I did post that I was looking at tires and rims and AM sent a competitive quote so it's valid to the thread. The intent is for recommendations not for bitching about shipping.
