Shocks and struts upgrade?

PP parts = Ford Racing Street Pack
Ford Racing Track Pack is step up, and they get rid of all bounce etc. You can add the shock and strut parts from the Track Pack and will work great. Is up to you what brand you like.

Yes, monotubes are technically superior but a at the end of the day 95% of it comes down to the valving. A shitty valved monotube is going to suck and a superbly valved twin tube is going to rock.

Are the pro-action nonadjustable shocks and struts essentially the same as the adjustable ones except they're nonadjustable?

I don't track my car so I don't really need adjustable shocks and struts, and there is an over $400 price difference.

I just installed the non adjustable about a week ago and love them. they ride and handle so much better than the PP.

I believe your correct about the nonadjustable pro-action shocks and struts, I have the adjustable ones. They ride and corner great, I have yet to take a big hit while going over a dump or pot hole in the road, the valving seems quite good for DD. The twin tube design gives a better ride than the mono tube.

They are about 1.25 turns on the adjustables, I believe. Maybe it's 1.5. Either case they figured the setting that'd work for their springs and most others except super stiff track springs and went that route. Otherwise they're just like the adjustable dampers in ride. If you don't track your car OR you don't see yourself being a tinkerer and changing springs from time to time, don't bother with adjustable dampers. I have adjustables, I've been to the track, I've done numerous aggressive mountain runs, and I have a few more track days coming... and I've never adjusted them past the setting I found to be best for me car. Haven't felt the need to. I probably should - paid for the darn things!
