Like I said. Call Steeda.

I'm not saying I disagree, but why? One positive on the FRPPs is that they are monotube rears.I have the FRPP dampener kit but run it with linear springs (BMR) which in itself a night & day difference. I may be biased though as I'm not a fan of any progressive spring kit.
Never ran them with the stock PP springs. I did have the stock PP dampeners paired with linears for a few hundred miles and they worked very well with it. (way better than with the stock PP springs) But I could not leave well enough alone and with the FRPP kit, the car handles like a go-cart & I am perfectly satisfied with the results.
However, with STEEDA's release of their fixed valve dampeners, I recommend going for their kit over FRPP.
I've sent them an e-mail. Might call them tomorrow to get the details.Call SteeDa they'll tell you the difference. They've told me but I don't want to get it wrong and mislead.
Agreed...I've seen the anecdotal/qualitative info in the posting, but still looking for curves to see trends.
Price point is pretty close, STEEDA will be slightly cheaper by a few bucks. I bought my FRPP kit for $511 shipped and others have paid even less. No doubt their dampener R&D is top notch (been in the game a long time) so I am sure they did their due diligence to be above the competition. Any improvement over what FRPP offers would be more than welcomed...and interesting.I'm not saying I disagree, but why? One positive on the FRPPs is that they are monotube rears.
Curious to know, why are monotubes better?I'm not saying I disagree, but why? One positive on the FRPPs is that they are monotube rears.
I'm certainly no suspension expert as evidenced by this thread that I started.Curious to know, why are monotubes better?
That's what I'm thinking.Sounds like it's monotube FTW!

I also recently installed their clutch pedal assist spring. I've been running without the OEM spring since three weeks after I got the car, but have had an issue from time to time with the pedal not coming all the way up.
Since I installed their spring, no issues and the pedal is more consistent thru out the range, including the friction point on every shift.

Thanks, Eric. That's good to know. :cheers:For what its worth, I run Steeda Ultralight linear springs with the Ford Mustang Track Shock and Strut kit (P/N M-18000-F) and couldn't be happier.
My S550 is a PP model, and my wife has commented several times that the car rides better with this combo than is did stock... YMMV
