I have the FRPP dampener kit but run it with linear springs (BMR) which in itself a night & day difference. I may be biased though as I'm not a fan of any progressive spring kit.

Never ran them with the stock PP springs. I did have the stock PP dampeners paired with linears for a few hundred miles and they worked very well with it. (way better than with the stock PP springs) But I could not leave well enough alone and with the FRPP kit, the car handles like a go-cart & I am perfectly satisfied with the results.

However, with STEEDA's release of their fixed valve dampeners, I recommend going for their kit over FRPP.
I'm not saying I disagree, but why? One positive on the FRPPs is that they are monotube rears.

Call SteeDa they'll tell you the difference. They've told me but I don't want to get it wrong and mislead.
I've sent them an e-mail. Might call them tomorrow to get the details.

I also recently installed their clutch pedal assist spring. I've been running without the OEM spring since three weeks after I got the car, but have had an issue from time to time with the pedal not coming all the way up.

Since I installed their spring, no issues and the pedal is more consistent thru out the range, including the friction point on every shift.

I've seen the anecdotal/qualitative info in the posting, but still looking for curves to see trends.
Agreed...

No offense to STEEDA, but I'd rather see an independent & un-biased shock dyno result instead.

Price point is pretty close, STEEDA will be slightly cheaper by a few bucks. I bought my FRPP kit for $511 shipped and others have paid even less. No doubt their dampener R&D is top notch (been in the game a long time) so I am sure they did their due diligence to be above the competition. Any improvement over what FRPP offers would be more than welcomed...and interesting.

Curious to know, why are monotubes better?

I'm certainly no suspension expert as evidenced by this thread that I started.

Summit explains the difference b/w monotube and two tube here.

Sounds like it's monotube FTW!

Yes, monotubes are technically superior but a at the end of the day 95% of it comes down to the valving. A shitty valved monotube is going to suck and a superbly valved twin tube is going to rock.

For what its worth, I run Steeda Ultralight linear springs with the Ford Mustang Track Shock and Strut kit (P/N M-18000-F) and couldn't be happier.
My S550 is a PP model, and my wife has commented several times that the car rides better with this combo than is did stock... YMMV

PP parts = Ford Racing Street Pack
Ford Racing Track Pack is step up, and they get rid of all bounce etc. You can add the shock and strut parts from the Track Pack and will work great. Is up to you what brand you like.
