I need to bookmark that group buy post - I can never find it unless I come back here.
Strange. Maybe it needs to be put in a different section so that it is more visible.

A review from a member:

Installed mine tonight, pretty straight forward install. Just need a 1/4 drive ratchet, 12" 1/4 drive extension, swivel and 10mm deep wall socket. Took about 20 minutes, without running into any problems. With the stock shifter mount, the shifter always felt like you were going to break something if you power shifted it, like the internals of the shifter were made of rubber. With the Boomba mount it has that mechanical feel to it, similar to the old T5 5-speed, which is good. Now you can feel the linkage and shift forks thru the shifter when stopped and going into first or reverse, nice to feel connected with the trans. Now when you power shift it the shifter has a solid stop to it instead of feeling like it would bend on over. Did not notice any increase in NVH while driving, you can here the linkages a little when stopped and putting it in reverse or first, but nothing that would bother me. Overall very pleased with the shifter mount, very nice improvement to the stock shifter.

I installed this today and am impressed on two fronts -

I only drove it for only a few miles but it clearly improves the crispness of the shifting and you can better feel the gates. It was in rain and traffic, so I wasn't driving spirited. However, it appears promising that this will make the soft feel of the shifting go away (short of a new shifter).

Taking the stock bracket off was a major PIA - First, I only have access to jack stands, so I had just the front up and space was really limited. because the bracket sits up so high ( relative to the ground), you really have limited room to squeeze an arm or hand in the tunnel and next to the exhaust or driveshaft. Second, for some reason, my bracket had an additional metal clip that was attached to the body and the bracket end. I wasn't able to simply drop the bracket as called for in the videos. I ended having to use some brute force to yank it off.

Finally, I called Boomba as soon as I ran into the clip and Kamil took my call and helped me through this issue. he asked questions, and asked me to send him some pics so he could figure this out since since he hasn't seen it. We exchanged a few calls and he followed up as he promised. Kamil, thanks for the extra attention.

I will post more feedback after some more driving.

Thank you for the write up! We're glad to see you got everything all figured out and put on the car! Thanks for choosing Boomba and enjoy the shifting improvement!

Installed mine when I lowered my car a few weeks ago. Combined with BMR's cradle lockout kit it greatly reduced the "thud". Shifter feel is great combined with Boomba short shifter/knob, and Royal Purple Synchromax trans fluid. Only side effect is some increased harmonics in the cabin when while driving.

I installed this shifter bracket a couple weeks back and it made a huge improvement in the stock shifter. It's now much tighter, almost all the slop is gone, and it's much easier to find gears shifting both up and down. It won't be as good as a whole new shifter but for 20% the cost and 20 mins to install it's a great compromise. By installing this mod along with a lighter clutch spring I don't even feel like I need an aftermarket shifter anymore. Also I have zero noticeable increase in cabin noise from the drivetrain.
