Is that simulator a good time? I'm not one for video games, but that thing seems exceptional. Is that an out the door purchase or does one have to piece it together with monitors, PCs, seats, etc. Looks like it might be kind of cool. Especially if the sound rumbles and there is haptic feedback in the steering or seat. Please give me the lowdown on that.
Oh man... this is a rabbit hole I'm not sure you are ready for lol.

Yes the simulator is a great time. It is not used as a video game so much as it is a tool for training/learning... however it goes without saying nothing compares to the real thing.

You have to piece it together yourself. The version you see in the picture there is my 3rd iteration of a simulator. You can start fairly economically with a Logitech wheel and pedal package and a normal gaming PC or even a console like a PS4/5. That way you get decide if its something you actually will do/enjoy. I probably have 6k into the setup including the PC, the aluminum, pedals, wheel, monitor, seat, etc. A cheap setup will get you 80% there to feeling "real"... Every dollar after gets you closer but at a significantly smaller percentage. The wheel is the most important thing to spend money on... second would be a secure rig base that doesn't flex.

I recommend checking out some youtube videos or some of the simulator forums like RaceDepartment or some of the racing sim subreddits for a lot of great info.

I don't want to take this too off topic :)

After two years of living in our new home I am finally getting around to completing the garage project. The first order of business was to install a work bench and some cabinetry. Decided upon "Redline" garage systems as they are very high quality and will not rust or corrode with the Wisconsin hot and cold environment. I also wanted to avoid having to drill hole for hooks, etc in the finished garage walls. This is the first home i've owned that had actual drywall and plaster panels. Once again went with Redline's Slatwall system which offers a large variety of choices when it comes to hooks, baskets, shelving, etc.
Here are some pics after getting the slat wall and cabinetry completely finished.
Now I have to start purchasing more slat wall accessories, organizing all of the cabinets (they are a mess) as well as getting some Ford Mustang/Shelby bling on the walls. More to come.

Installed a Natural Gas powered heater for the cold wisconsin winters. Looking forward to being able to work in the garage this fall/winter and actually do some maintenance/cleanup on the Shelby.

If you don't mind the ask - how much does that heater unit cost from actual unit to the installation? Any specs on it?

Reason I ask is our attached 2-car is walled/insulated but I have 14ft ceiling... Also home is natural gas heat too. So I'm just wondering what size or type would be needed to heat such a tall garage area.

Thanks for any input.

I use one of these in mine, 12’6” ceilings, about 1400sq/ft. You can direct vent them. I set mine at 40-45 degrees when I’m not using my shop. It take about an hour to bring it up to mid-high 50’s when its close to that interior temp to start.

Something like that would have to be wired in, correct? No plug into an outlet. And then the matter of running the gas line and venting to outside?

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments and questions. The Heater itself ran 2800.00 installed. Yes, there is outside venting required. Including a picture of the back.
This baby heats up quick and maintains temp. I had to insulate the attic in the garage as there was nothing up there. First couple of weeks the thing ran like crazy until I got the insulation put in...
Here are the specs on the unit from the invoice.
Furnish and install a Reznor 45,000 BTU sealed combustion unit heater (Serial
#BUK3062145271) complete with stainless steel venting out the sidewall, wall
thermostat, gas line in black pipe/painted, mounting brackets, final set up and safety
inspection.

It actually plugs in, but on it's own dedicated circuit. I have my battery tender plugged into that outlet bank as well, but getting a separate outlet put in lower on the slat wall.
venting is described in my reply I did separately on this thread

You can put it in an 8' but 10'+ is preferable. In an 8', the lower car barely squeaks under the ramps. I have 12'-ish. Also, you have to consider the garage door opening as it can reduce the clearance. Here are some low ceiling examples...
