Look forward to the pics.

As for the plastidip cans, I just leave mine outside for 15 mins beforehand. It's the middle of summer here and it was 49*C (120*F) outside yesterday. Problem I have is the drying time with the humidity. I ended up using the missus' hairdryer on cold setting to dry some stuff the other day. Plastidip was still visibly wet after 25 minutes outside.
Gotta laugh at the challenges and the solutions!
Pics below.
Now, they don't look like they do in the real world BUT, this is actually a bonus.
The images you see here are a fair bit brighter than the reality, but it's good that the plates retain their reflectivity. Less chance of being hassled over it I reckon.

With Kingpin cover.

And without.
The front plate has a slightly more "mottled" (?) appearance than the rear because the dip didn't flow correctly on the first pass.
At first I hated it, but it's actually really grown on me as far as the effect goes.

Thinking about painting calipers,so I went out and bought some goodies
Yup I want to paint the brake calipers too. 2 of our cars. Please post pics when finished. Also mention if any challenges faced during the process.
Good luck

Looks really good mate. Came out very nice. Think I prefer the one with the plate holder but either works.

Cheers Andrew. Despite the fogging issue, I'm gonna keep the covers on I reckon. Just looks a little neater with them installed.
