Apologies if this has been discussed but I couldn't find anything. I have a 400A car with the 9 speaker system.
I've already swapped the DSP from a Shaker car and added the factory subwoofer. I have a lead on some cheap Shaker speakers. Has anyone swapped their speakers for the Shaker speakers? I'm not expecting amazing results, but at the price (under $100) would it be a worthwhile upgrade to gain a little clarity and bass?

The shaker speakers are crap. I replaced my rear speakers with Morels added an LC2i and an amp, swapped out the OEM Shaker sub filled the box with fiberfill and installed a Rockford Fosgate sub. Now it sounds really good.

I understand that. I'm happy enough with my 9 speaker speakers, and was just wondering what the difference in quality would be going from those to the Shakers.

Do you have a source that confirms the speakers are different between the 9-speaker Shaker and the 12-speaker Shaker Pro, other than the rear deck speakers being 2-way and the addition of the sub? I also have the 9-speaker system and it is labeled Shaker. Past threads tell me the only difference between the two systems is the sub in 12-speaker system adds more low end.

There are different speaker part numbers between the standard and the branded (whatever that is) systems. A-pillar tweeters for example: DS7Z-18808-E vs FR3Z-1808-P. It would be interesting to do an A/B comparison sound quality test between 2 cars with the same music and the same EQ settings. But if you are planning on throwing any money and time at this, I would recommend aftermarket speakers unless you can get your hands on some free drivers from someone who went from branded to aftermarket. Many with the B&O systems were not happy with the sound.
What's really confusing though is there is no difference in part numbers that I could find from 2015 to 2019 even though we had Shaker as an upgraded option and B&O in later models. If the part numbers on Tasca's website are correct, then what makes the B&O any different than the Shaker other than a re-brand? My guess is Shaker added a sub and B&O added upgraded speakers.

Also to add onto that (and probably muddle things even more) at least for 2018 and 2019, the 9 speaker is no longer branded Shaker.

The part numbers were confusing me as well between 18 and 19 cars. I own a 19 and looked into adding the B&O Pro stuff, but all the part numbers are still pointing to the 15-18 Shaker stuff.

If anyone has better access to Ford Part #s and can get the real B&O part #s, I'd love it.

Well i just took out all the speakers off my 2018 GT with Shaker Pro 12-speaker system. If you need them for cheap, i can ship them to you !

Sorry to Hi-jack but I'd be interested in the Shaker Pro door speakers or a set of B&O's if the $ is right.
