My wife dropped her older car at our indy mechanic a year or so ago, and he offered her a ride home. The "driver" was an older (75+) gentleman who clearly had the job as a way to be around people. As they were about to leave, our indy told my wife "You might want to drive his car to your house. He drives REALLY slowly."I understand and appreciate the concern. Not sure how it is elsewhere, but at my dealership, the service department uses the same part time "drivers" that sales uses for dealer swaps, etc. Those folks are older responsible drivers - generally retired. T
