I have a service advance trac icon popping up on my dash screen. The dealership could not figure out the issue. Happens when I have all the traction control off am doing doughnuts. This is a 18 eco. Also this car was curbed already by my son. He spun and hit a center divider curb. Had to replace the passenger rear hub, rim etc. Dealer fixed it. So I can only assume this is somehow related.

Sounds like the car is trying keep you or your son from killing it. :-)

Advance Trac is part of the overall abs system so wheel speed sensor(s) and/or the wiring to the sensor at the damaged hub may be the problem.

Autocrossers and track drivers have issues with Service Advance Trac warnings with T/C and Advance Trac turned off. In all cases AFAIK the drive mode then reverts to "normal" and Advance Trac typically comes back on. AFAIK no root cause or even a consistent pattern of "when/where" it will happen. Lots of us either never have the problem or have it very rarely.

So....you just....like......grab the keys, head for an open area, and do doughnuts? Like, it's a thing for you? Something you do regularly?

the abs system plays a big part with that warning , hook a scanner up to it and monitor each wheel speed when the warning light is on and you can see what one is acting up .

Not something done regularly but it is something that happens. Have you never had fun with your car before? I feel bad for you.. maybe pick up a prius

No, I've never done doughnuts, except in the snow. I drive fast at times, corner bard, brake late, accelerate hard, but no doughnuts.

Dunno, I've always figured that's a bit rough on the tires, suspension, drive-train, etc.

This car comes with linelock lol. If anything it's easy on the dt because there is no traction. Did you know 1 person can move the entire back of a car or truck once the traction is broken from doing sitting burnouts.

I don't recall since not relevant to my use but I "kind of recall" that lineloc was grayed out in the menu with the plug unplugged.

Also, if you LFB with Advance Trac off you can use brake and throttle at the same time. However, with the plug unplugged brake will override throttle (i.e. cut throttle) just like it does with the nannies on.

I think all the autocross and road race track relevant stuff including drive modes are still available with the plug unplugged. I tested at an autocross or two and on the street and don't recall any issues.

You do lose line lock. But, no problem spinning the meats on the brake.

My car has a lot of traction. And my tires cost too much to replace to go around doing doughuts, burnouts, etc.
