Always protective of my GEERS! And Richard Geer was great in "An Officer and a Gentleman".
Practicing with customer car that have a manual. :doh:My concern is, do they know to drive it---parking lot to service bay----without grinding the geers or riding the clutch. I mean, where did they ever drive a manual?
Nope you'd need an a tune/tuner to do that.I like the idea above, is it possible to reduce the rev limiter with MyKey?
Damn!! What did they tell you?Dropped mine off at a ford dealership I don't normally go to for a window switch replacement. Picked the car up after work and there was 30 miles extra on the car. Tore them a new ass and probably got somebody fired. God knows what the sumbitch did to that car in 30 miles but what can you really do?
I have a number of buddies that work at various dealers; none of them win when it's warranty work.Thats not always true, i would say most of the time the tech is winning whenever its warranty work. Unless they're paying you lets say 3 hours to replace a dashboard, when in reality its 4-6. Those cases are rare though, id say more often then not warranty pays extremely well.
Basically that there was no known damage and they would address the issue.Damn!! What did they tell you?
so having a valet slot on the tuner with a low rpm would be niceNope you'd need an a tune/tuner to do that.
Not really concerned...Your car was driven by someone at the dealership before you bought it. A service rep probably drove it once you signed the papers to fill it up with gas and possibly wash it.my old car was a boring car and I didn't give it a second thought dropping it off for maintenance, repair, inspections, etc. However, with this car, I am a little concerned that service technicians will have a bit of "fun" with it before calling to tell me its ready. Automatics are by nature generally safe, but manual transmissions can easily be abused with high RPM clutch drops, aggressive shifting, line lock, etc. Anyone concerned about this?
