Messed up my tail lights. Bought an anchor room tint kit, every piece turned out like crap, so I used some VHT night shade. Even tho I thoroughly taped up the trim, some how the spray leaked onto the plastic trim and made it look like @$$. So I bought some aerosol goo gone to try to get it off, which made it look even worse. Then I tried a cotton buffer wheel on my dremel tool with some meguairs scratch x, and the instant I touched the wheel to the trim it melted the plastic, so I just stopped there.

hit my trash can minutes after putting it on the curb for pick up, hate having no short term memory. Lucky it was plastic can so it will buff out. Trash can was full of light stuff thankfully. Hit fendor

In trying to get close to the curb I nicked the wheel and the tire. I could not find touch up paint for the wheel, and the tire damage is to the wall. I am keeping an eye on it. I was told to use black nail polish on the black wheel

Oops.
Not as bad as my neighbor, however, who ran over a bowling ball-sized boulder they had decorating their yard. The first time they dragged it off their yard onto the street. A few days later they hit it again and dragged it about 5 yards. Sounded horrible and scraped up the asphalt pretty good.

New grocery store (huuuuge!) got built next to my neighborhood, so I went to check it out the other night. Parked super far away from anyone, next to the curb. When I was backing out, I guess the curb length was longer than I thought and I felt the rear right tire bump the curb. Freaked out! Only 2300 miles on the car lol. Didn't even want to look at it till I got home so people wouldn't see my meltdown. Turns out it just rubbed the tire, about 1.5 inches away from the wheel. Lucked out! Much more careful now, especially in unfamiliar places.

Had to run an errand one night and was debating whether to take the Mustang or Camry. Luckily, I decided on the Camry. I crossed some railroad tracks on a dark unfamiliar road that were basically the opposite of a speed bump and drove the bottom front bumper into the road. I'm convinced that if I was in the Mustang, I would have done some serious damage to the front/bottom of the car.

Me 2. Really pissed me off. I stay as far from my wife's 4 Runner as I can. That's what happens when we get pro-active.

Self-inflicted pain is always the worst. I always park far away, or close to curb guarding one side, like many here. Smart! Put a fingertip sized scuff in one of my PP rims. Damnit! Worse than that, was vacuuming water/suds out of side mirrors and put fine scrapes in mirror on both sides! Drives me nuts as I have to look at my dumb mistake all the time. Anyone have 411 on replacing the mirrors? Tried to search threads but no luck.

Well I was pulling into a parking lot and I had thought I took the turn wide enough but as I was turning right into the parking lot I ran over the curb with the rear right tire. DOH! only 1000 miles on it too. luckily i didn't harm the tire or the rim BUT i did happen to scrape the small plastic tire guard and about an inch of a metal lip scrape right by the plastic guard that runs the length of the car. Should I paint the inch scrape? no one would ever see it but do I have to worry about rust in the long term?

Scuffed a perf pack wheel trying to hug a curb at a parking spot as well.

Little gloss black enamel and it was "fixed". Annoyed me but so far so good... car is black so I know major heart break is coming at some point. 1500 miles since I bought it in August.

when there's any paint scraped from the bottom is it wise to paint touch up some how? to avoid any rust? maybe i'm being too cautious...

No, you're not. Do it. I did it myself just for Steeda jacking rails install.
And consider clear protective film around the door edges - rear and bottom. That is what I have.
