Finally became a statistic. Luckily single car accident and I’m fine. Spun out and hit guard rail. Speed was approx 30-35. Car started and drove home. What do y’all think about this?

no leaks. Wheels don’t seem like they got touched or tweaked at all. Car didn’t overheat in the short drive home.

By the cosmetics, it look’s definitely repairable. Will the numbers make sense/is there any other hidden damage may be another question or two. Sorry that happened, glad you’re okay.

Everything I looked at seemed pretty straight but I agree won’t be able to tell forsure until we get into it.

Sorry to hear, and glad you're ok. Looks like it's body only.

I had a similar crash/damage, and the lights were costly. Luckily your front light looks ok.

Ouch, that sucks.

Not being used to snow and low temps I'd guess.

I had a similar experience many, many years ago with an early Fox Body car. Very similar damage pattern (except maybe a bit less damage to the rear quarter). It ended up having a tweaked subframe. Still repairable, but more than just cosmetics.

With a 6 year old car, you might be on the bubble here. It comes down to which is less for the insurance company; the repair cost or the payout to you for a total minus the salvage value. Your car may have a pretty high salvage value, so that could put you at risk.

p.s.; Glad no one was hurt!

I drive this thing daily in all weather. it was really cold and just hit a sheet of ice as I was going along the freeway. Have never had an issue like this. I was a steady speed no speed or direction changes. Far from my first drive in similar conditions.

Light still works but idk if the mounts broke or not yet.

I wish I could have said that about my own incident, I had to chalk mine up to pure stupidity 🥴

Dude, that sucks. Your car looks like a twin to mine but a couple years newer.

I manage a body shop in Washington. That's easily a $10k repair. If the unibody is tweaked on the RF corner as I suspect, it's probably a total loss.

really hoping the angle and speed I bounced off it’ll be okay. Really hoping to save this thing. But I also don’t want to keep it if it’s compromised

Yep. The biggest problem I see is that trunk area being compromised.

It is going to be right on the fine line of fixable or totaled.

I think 10-15k is about right. How many miles on the car and what package, premium or base? The value of the car is going to determine if the insurance company will choose to fix it or not.

Premium, 15,000 mile car, probably gets fixed. Base, 90,000 car, probably gets totaled.
