Good Morning 6G,

I am seeking guidance to remove some very light scratches from my new GTs roof.

I've been enjoying the new ride for a month now. It was built 12/17 and purchased 5/18. I am guessing the five months it sat outside on the lot it experienced some bird/cat claws, pine cones, tree limbs, or something!

There are probably half a dozen light scratches on the roof.

All 6 you cannot feel with your finger nail, so it seems like they are very shallow.

What is the best/correct method for diminishing/repairing these?

I really appreciate your advice!

I would do a basic clay bar polish, seal and wax

Polish with an orbital buffer and a clear coat safe polishing compound. Or let a professional detailer do it.

Some scratch remover and a clean cloth, then polish them out. I think Mequires has a swirl-remover that should work for very light scratches.

Meguiares fine cut cleaner and then the show car glaze will do the job for you .
Hand application is all you should have to apply to remove the scratches and swirls .
