Somehow I have a headlight scratch. It isn't that noticeable when the lights are off but when they are on, it looks bad! I have some rubbing and polisher compounds for paint - is it possible this would work on the headlight?

I'm interested in an answer to this as well. I have a couple marks from where a lawn mower flung a rock that hit my headlight.

Yes, those will work. Depending on the severity, it might be faster to wet sand first. The issue will be replacing the UV coating. Use polyurethane or rattle can clearcoat afterwards or you will have oxidation appear very rapidly.

Before start wet sanding it try Meguiar's PlastiX. The head lights are clear coated so if you remove the clear coat by sanding them, they will turn hazy very quickly.

Thanks for the info. I had no idea they clear coated the headlights.
