Hey,

Have a question. My car has the enhanced security package and part of the package is the security lug nuts. Mine was never put on the tires but was in a bag located in the trunk. I went to put them on and this is what I found out. The Lug nuts are so long that they stick out and look horrible. Need to know if this is something common or just my car.

Thanks

That is exactly why I didn't buy them and will source them elsewhere.

Thanks guys. Those lug nuts take away from the beauty of the vehicle and it looks like an afterthought rather than something designed for it. Shame!

Get Gorilla locking lug nuts, they have some that look like stockers as you walk away and are much better as the key fits over the entire nut. Check them out at Summit Racing or other places that sell good stuff.

I've used them for years and they work great, but be sure and order an extra key you leave at home, just in case you lose the original.

I don't want to burst your bubble, but those type of locking lug nuts are easily removed by pounding a 12 point socket over them. I learned about this over 20 years ago btw.

That's why all my lug nuts are lockers, how many sockets you got? :headbonk:

My dealer gave me the locks as a free be. I was looking at them yesterday and said the same thing to my self. They just look plan stupid.

I got these:

About the same length, and you can't easily pound on a socket (the outside turns).

And they weigh the same (about 70 grams).
