Porsche has used aluminum lug nuts for decades..... Not sure where the problem lies. Better than the horrible two piece lug nuts that come OE on the Fords. Destroyed
The price of those lugs would scare me more than using them. Google 7075-T6 aluminum.

i thought that was just for racing applications, which has been mentioned. If they use it for general street cars..then idk. the torque rating of those aluminum lugnuts is 90ft lbs. The stock lug nuts do suck, but the earlier mentioned potential issues with aluminum are different than the issues the OE lugs from ford seem to have.

Were you even able to torque those to 150 ft lbs?

The bigger question everyone should be asking is the use of dissimilar metals - aluminum lugs on steel studs... rain water or in geographic locations with winter seasons and salted roads, I expect those lugs to eventually weld themselves to the rims....

Me personally, I’d never use aluminum lugs, period.
I was able to torque it to 150lbs
