If you're putting any kind of resistance on the seat (engaging clutch or brake pedal) the seat will not move (guessing the motor detects the resistance). With my manual I either press the memory button or push the start button since I can't quite reach the clutch pedal to fully start the car.
That’s interesting and may account for why it works most of the time, but occasionally fails to move back to the last position. Thanks!

Talking about seats.... I ordered mine with the heated and cooled leather seats. Not a track guy and I am a little too rotund (from what I am told) for the recaro option. I know the driver side has lumbar and more adjustment than the passenger side but is the passenger seat comfortable and supportive? I ask because my goal is to take the car on a lot of country cruises and my wife has a little trouble with her lower back. Feedback appreciated!
Actually I have the same situation, wife has back problems. Have been on multi hour trips and no problem with passenger seat.

I think the stock seats, including the passenger seats are quite comfortable. My wife agrees too.

That makes me happy! I worry about it because as cliche as it sounds 'happy wife, happy life'... We were looking to replace our 2011 Sequoia with the KIA Telluride last year. Everyone raved about the KIA but 10 minutes into our test drive my wife was in discomfort and by the time we got back to the dealership she was in pain. The seats in that car did not work for us at all and the Mach 1 is supposed to be our semi-retirement fun car and it won't be fun if the seats are uncomfortable. I know we won't know until we actually sit in the car but I appreciate the positive experiences you've shared.

Try sitting in GT with leather seats, same as Mach 1.

We had the 2018 GT for 18K miles and this car is just the same very comfortable for me and my wife. We drove from Kansas to the west coast and we loved it. (Only difference between the seats is the lumbar)

It’s a shame that Ford couldn’t put the lumbar support in both seats. My 2011 Sequoia and my wife’s 2014 Pathfinder have lumbar support for both the driver and passenger seats... that said I am glad that members are finding the seats comfortable!

Just something I noticed. When I turn the car off, it does the easy exit which is nice and the seat automatically slides back. However sometimes when I get in and turn the car on, the seats doesn’t slide to my saved position (position 1 on the memory). It does most of the time, just not every time, so I have to press the one for the seat to adjust. Just curious if anyone knows why not a big deal.

My commute is a 1.5 miles, but I can’t help but take this out after work everyday, a blast to drive!
Your seat should go to the last settings if you tap the start button to put it into ACC mode. You can also turn the seat exit option off in your settings if you haven’t figured that out already.
I’ve also found while driving you can’t change your seat by the memory buttons. I think it’d be nice to have a cruising set up and race/sport driving set up you could change with one button while driving.

My Shiba Inu has never complained. Only if I forget her "jerky" treats.
