Nature of the beast with the rotors and pads the car comes with, they could make some noise. Washing won't really do much, but one thing you can try that may help is removing the caliper and taking some coarse emory cloth and scrubbing the pad and rotor surface to scuff them up a bit. Squeaks can happen if the pads/rotor glaze and this will usually remove a majority of the glaze (if that's the issue).

The squealing is from the aggressive brake pad compound not being used within its design parameters; i.e., high performance braking. Unlike a harder "street" compound, a more aggressive compound really needs to be bedded in to transfer an even layer of pad material to the rotor. Bedding the pads is hard to do on the street, but is certainly doable with care and plenty of open roads.

Once bedded, you'll enjoy maximum brake pad performance, enhanced pad life, good rotor wear/life and a reduction--if not elimination--of pad squealing. Shims and grease on backing plates can help, but bedding is the way to go.

Bedding procedures can be found online (check out PFC), but it's essentially going progressively faster and slowing the car down to around 40 mph 5 - 7 times in order to get the pads and rotor hot and to transfer an even layer of material. Then, without sitting on the brakes at all, put the car away for overnight.

Use scotch bright to remove pad material on the rotors and perform a proper bedding process. Given the nature of this car, it's pretty likely that a lot of people "unintentionally" bedded their brakes properly!

GT350 2016 trak pak. 600 miles. Soft screech only only after pressing pedal. Barely noticeable. Was worse with less mileage. My guess is that you need to get the brake pads "bedded". A few hard brakes at 40-60mph will break them in. Has anyone that has tracked the car had this issue?
I have about 2700 miles on mine and have tracked her. No issues what so ever, only the occasional squeal. I do know that the compound found in the Brembo pads is of a dual use. I have owned 12GT and 15Gt with track/performance pack and they also had some squeal, but minimal. You cleaned the rotor's, was there any scarring? Check your pads and make sure there is no foreign debris on them.

I love the sound of pinging rotors and smelling the pads after getting out of this car in my garage!! This is the most unbelievably fun car I've ever driven!
1.5k miles....no brake noise! I did stand on the brakes hard during the initial breakin period....just too good to resist!

Just picked up my 16 GT350 DIB on Friday. I've put 250 miles on it, and loving every minute of it. After about 100 miles, my brakes are screeching at every stop and I can't seem to make it stop. I've washed off the rotors three times, have come to several hard stops, and nothing seems to fix it. Is anybody else having this issue? It's driving me nuts!
Just wanted to give an update on this. I brought my car into my local dealer and had them look at the screeching noises coming from my brakes. They are replacing my front pads under warranty. Service tech said it shouldn't be doing that after this many miles. He also told me "it has to do with the materials the pads are made of?" Not sure exactly what he meant but Im getting fresh set of brake pads out of it!

When I first got my GT350, the brakes squeaked, but not too loudly, just before coming to a stop. I'm not sure when it disappeared, because normally my car's radio would drown it out, but now that I've got 1400 miles on it, it doesn't seem to do it at all.

I've broken the brakes in with just normal driving. I haven't done anything special to break it in; the car is my daily driver.

I have 300 miles on my '16 Track Pack and the brakes are squeaking badly at low speeds when coming to a slow stop. Doesn't squeak at all when Im coming to a harder stop. Seems to be under light pressure but it is getting on my nerves for sure. Ill give it a few hundred more miles and try some really hard stops to bed them before I take it to dealer.

Very typical and normal. Will get better with increased mileage

I think they're just naturally a little noisy. I bedded mine in on an autocross course pretty much right after I got the car and they're still squeaky. Doesn't bother me though. hashtagracecar

Hey Guys,
I have the same issue as above. Low speed stopping causes squeaking which is extremely annoying. I have 1800 on my GT350 so I would assume the noise would go away by now. Is it too late to try and bed the brakes? It appears split on noise vs. no noise. I would think if it is supposed to sound this way everyone would have the issue instead of only some of us.

They are going to squeak a little on very gentle application. I have nearly 10,000 miles on mine including hard driving at the road course and this still happens. I think it's just the way they are.

Mine started to squeak, bad just on the last few feet of every stop hard or soft. Hit the rims and tires with cleaner and washed the car, hasn't came back and its been about 2 weeks. I used that stuff that literally turns the break dust purple, and washed the shit out of the wheels after with the high pressure rinse.

I will give that a try. The noise has gotten worse over the last few days and I haven't cleaned the wheels for a couple weeks. So that could be part of the issue.
Thanks!
