Analysts: GM likely UAW target, small strike probable
Buckingham says a strike is most likely to occur at a truck plant, given the high profitability trucks and SUVs bring the automakers. It suggests large truck and SUV plants such as GM’s Fort Wayne Assembly Plant in Indiana and Arlington Assembly Plant in Texas, or Ford’s Louisville Assembly in Kentucky or its Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant — also in Louisville — may be most vulnerable

Hopefully we're in the clear but no guarantees. With a blend date of 9/15 I'm going to be paying attention to this even more than I was before.

Thanks... never bothered checking this morning! Just want mine on the truck before Monday. Trumpka was quoted on Labor Day that the Teamsters would back the UAW 100%.

My bet is still that it'll be Chrysler. I may be wrong, but my signature is my alibi!

That is all...

Just a WAG, but may be waiting for some small part/sub-assembly that they didn't want to stop the line for. Could also be QA found a bad batch of parts. Easier and cheaper for them to replace it at the plant than pay the dealer to do it.

I'd suggest a PM to Deysha, if you haven't already. She may be able to pin it down for you. Better to wait and know it's right than have to take it back to the dealer, where they always seem to fix things at THEIR convenience, rather than yours.

At least you know it wasn't built on the last shift before a strike. The horror!

That is all...
Deysha was the one who gave me the information that it hadn't moved to Awaiting Shipment yet. I called Ford Service today and they said it is now in Awaiting Shipment but there's no ETA. So the waiting continues. Going to be awhile bc even when it ships, it still has to make it all the way to the west coast. I just hope it comes before my loan pre-approval expires next month, don't want another inquiry.

DO know what you mean about the loan. You want to have it lined up, but if it goes beyond 60 days... gotta re-apply. That doesn't look great on a credit report. I'm OK for now on that part, but still wondering about when it'll show up. Got the check-dated Tuesday, so I've got 58 more days on that. Wheels are going to beat the car here for sure. Will have them Tuesday.

I'm no railroad scheduler, but I think once it gets through Chicago, it should come fairly quick. Seems like EVERYTHING north and east of Chicago has to stop IN Chicago.

The wait continues for all of us, just some a little further along than others. Quoting Aragorn from Lord of the Rings, "There is always hope." Cynically... Shrek comes to mind, "Yeah... like that's ever gonna happen." :D

You guys are complaining? I ordered 6/28 and have nothing but a VIN.
+1
Ordered 6/29 called the service number yesterday and nothing. Deysha did send a PM with a VIN, but still feels no closer. Would at the very least like to have a DORA to verify what is being built.

all that ordered :hail::hail::hail: Deysha!!! for some info on there orders.

For now taking Bluto's advice

I ordered mine on 5/20. I just got my vin and window sticker today. All thanks to Deysha. My blend date is 9/14 with an ETA of 10/05 the day after my birthday. Deysha is amazing!

Desmondo, I'm in MetroWest area and have the same blend date and ETA of 9/29. My salesman told me as long as it goes smoothly, it should be on time. I asked about the convoy term and he said it's on the rails for a good amount of the trip then onto a truck. Not sure where the truck picks it up though.
Where you from? I was originally from Somerville, not to far from Boston.

Probably somewhere right in Boston. Rail service there is CSX, methinks. I know rail shipments down my way come right into the Norfolk Southern yard in Atlanta, offloaded into a storage yard, and then loaded on the trucks for dealer delivery. I found a web page that lists most auto/rail terminals in the U.S. back in November, but didn't bookmark it. And being an old fart, can't remember how I got there... wasn't from a search though. I'll keep looking, and should I find it, I'll post a link.

Second Try...

Got Lucky:

http://www.csx.com/index.cfm/about-csx/company-overview/state-fact-sheets/massachusetts/

About 1/2 way down the page:

Automotive distribution center in East Brookfield/Spencer

Wherever that is... not that familiar with the Boston area, other than Logan. Try Google Maps in Earth view... should be able to pinpoint exactly where it's at. Railroad yards aren't Walgreens - there's not one on every corner.

Scheduling to Build

I sold my 2015 GT Premium W/PP, Ingot Silver, 400A, Premium Ebony, and Nav back to the dealer on August 11, 2015.

I ordered a 2016 GT Premium, Ingot Silver, 400A, Premium Ebony, Nav, Spoiler Delete, AUTOMATIC w/ 3.55's and 20" Wheels on the same day.

I confirmed my order with Ford/Deysha on August 18, 2015. My dealer just emailed me on the 8th the Vin# he recieved from Ford on the 6th showing build starting Sept. 26th, 2015, ending Oct. 2, 2015.

If all goes well...hopefully I take delivery about 2 weeks later. :ford:  :headbang:  :clap2:
