Dude, well done on this car. It makes me super happy that you saved it.

One question I have though. I'm sure it's still within the warranty range, so would Ford not have warrantied that engine?
Thanks, appreciate the kind words. Warranty is for a production defect, running it out of oil because the cooler got knocked off isn't a production defect. I would never expect Ford to cover the costs of someone else's oopsie. Plus Ford system can see that its a rebuilt title and that in of itself usually voids a factory warranty.

Makes sense. That sucks. That cooler seems to be in a delicate spot...

Can you share more details and part numbers on your divorced clutch reservoir setup?

Did you just cap off the port on the brake master cylinder reservoir or switch to the automatic version?

Absolutely....
Clutch Reservoir - Dorman CM350070
The Ranger remote reservoir can only be purchased as an assembly with the slave cylinder that I was able to find. It was only $40 and the included hose comes in handy as a replacement to the plastic hose on our cars. The GM 92065790 GTO reservoir which was the go-to for many appears to no longer be available. The Ranger appears to be a better option anyway because the port comes out the bottom instead of the front. Easier to package.

M/C Reservoir - BRMC-219 Motorcraft for auto trans PP brakes
I was not able to find a new reservoir by itself, so you end up buying a Master Cylinder with reservoir for an auto trans car. I could have swapped out the entire assembly but my car only has 8k miles so I just swapped the reservoirs only which is an easy snap attachment to the m/c. I'm sure you could grab a reservoir from a salvage yard easily but I was in a hurry to get it back together.

The bracket I made, simple sheet metal bent in a 90 and some rivnuts.

Couple more updates...

Installed the S650 Strake air deflectors. There was discussion on how to make them work with the Mach1 belly pan. I simply trimmed the belly pan a bit and put the strake over top. It then shares a fastener and then gets 3 new holes and fasteners on the subframe. I believe the strakes can stay in place when removing the belly pan by simply removing the shared fastener and then sliding the belly pan out from beneath the strake. I also trimmed off the strake stanchions which are there for the S650 underbody shield that our Mach1's don't have. Now it sits flat on the subframe.

Rear tow hook because we track the car. Didn't like many of the available options so made my own. It a 1/4" plate that sandwiches between the bumper beam and the body and has a bracket that runs forward to another body attachment to help with the pull loads. Hook is removable if desired. Like this locations because its not in the center looking like a red trailer hitch and its not right over the exhaust.

I posted this in another tread but wanted to add it here to keep all the mods together as a running build thread. Will be handy when it comes time to sell it.

Love how Velocity Blue pops in the sun. This was 2024 Mohawk Track event at Gingerman in South Haven Michigan. Nate Vestal nvusimages.com took this photo. (I bought it from him)

This car has come a long way since it was loaded on my trailer with a fork lift 3 yrs ago. Pretty much done, just thoroughly enjoying it with my son now.

This was exactly how I'm planning to install these on my M1. I have them in the garage, but I don't have a proper way to lift the car and be able to go under and do the job. I'm planning to do it maybe next weekend.

I have one major concern on my vehicle, which is I have the Steeda 2point G-trac brace and it seems to be located somewhere around the screw at the back of the strake, so I will have to do a bit more cutting there, I guess. For sure I will try to make some pics after the installation.

Can you share how do these perform on the track, is there a sensible difference? Does the car get any different after installing them, or the difference is marginal?

I installed them at the same time I installed all the other suspension bits so sorry I can’t pinpoint out their specific contribution. I would suspect it won’t be an earth shattering difference and might be hard to discern.
