Good to see it’s passed, shame to see yet another problem, but great to see you are already on top of the problem 👍

Appears to be an oil starve, is that the only rod bearing affected?
Yes oil starved for sure. All the rod bearings looked unhappy, another was just starting to rotate in the cap. The mains where surprisingly good other than junk going through them. It will need 2 heads and cams but I already picked up a set of new take offs for a good price.

Sheesh : I just bought all new heads, cams, Porting and it still needs the followers and the lifters. Do you happen to know the 18+ Lifters and Follower PN from FP?

That should be a fun build. Are you planning to run aftermarket cams with split lift/duration? That would be cool to see a new Mach sound like a classic.

Yea I got those same ones too however See below
M6564M50.JPG

Confused.... Is there another part number?

M6500M50R.JPG

I guess I'll use these for my lash adjusters since they are supposed to be "better" they are only what about 50 bux more.

Edit:
I think the Gen 3 is supposed to use M-6564-M52A : but I have to confirm this.

Love the build,
So I am guessing the damaged oil cooler cause the oil loss and further damaged the internals?

Long overdue for update.…

Short block has been together for a while now. Have been working on heads with just minor blending and smoothing where needed. Upgraded springs with the PAC 1281x and considering the L&M Intake Only cams.

Notice the pump rotor difference between the stock and GT500.

No real hurry, cold and snowy here in Michigan.

The followers are the M52A for the gen 3. I just had to buy these for my new heads.

With all those measurements you've noted was there anything that was way out spec from the manufactures stated sizing's?

I'm amazed at how relatively simple the coyote engine is and the power it can produce.

Not following, why did you need those and why do you think I do?

I did notice that my 2021 GEN3 heads have a different style follower than the new take off 2019 GEN3 heads that I bought. 2021 part top, 2019 part bottom

I'm not sure what they did. I had been looking for a FP part so I didn't have to buy 32 individual Followers from Ford.

See following

M52A.webp

They can be had in the 400-500 usd range.
