The nice thing about the GT, you can keep adding suspension mods. Coilovers, wheel/tires, braces, bushings. So many opportunities to improve, and the prices are not outrageous. Really for the street the GTPP it is ample IMHO. If I had the money I would buy a GT350 for the uniqueness, and/or for track fun.

The nice thing about the GT350 is. It'll probably be worth 100 grand in 30 years.

Original post is just stating facts but imo it wont be worth 100k because the next gen will likely have as much power or close AND less weight to compete with the Camaro. Personally Im excited to see a gt350 for the next generation.

Collectability has nothing to do with power numbers and everything to do with rarity. How many GT350Rs are going to be floating around in 30 years?

Would like to see the real world numbers as well. I'm just not sure i could justify the extra cost of the gt350. If money was no object than sure. What was the best actual purchase price anyone heard of for the gt350? I know MSRP was 48,500 but you can get a base 16 gt pp for 30

Also what was the last mustang that is actually a collectable? Early 70's? With the way the cars keep getting better every year I don't see any holding value or making value.

03/04 Cobra is holding value better than any American car I have ever seen. Imagine what it will be like in 20-30 years.

It's crazy how they've held their value. I still want to own one, one day.

I'd like to see a PP vs 2015/16 base gt350 on the same rubber same track. I'm sure the times will be very close.

What about the Ford GT? Aren't those things astronomically valuable now?

Yup, I dont see any 2003/2004 Cobras going for $60k or $64k, double what the MSRP price was.
The Ford GT on the other hand has, quite a few are over 350k already. They started around 150k-160k. :eyebulge:
