Hey everyone after a long chat with someone over at Ford Services I got some answers about the aluminum dashboard options and just wanted to share.

  • The satin brushed aluminum dashboard thats seen in most pictures comes with the "Premier Trim with Color Accent" package and is only available for premiere models.
  • The engine turned aluminum dashboard comes with all performance packages. I tried to see if its possible to get the brushed aluminum with the performance package and no luck. Since two extra gauges are added to the dash, turned aluminum is the only option.

Looking at pictures, the GT may come with the aluminum dash stock but I couldn't get a definitive answer. Otherwise it looks like all models come with a plastic dash, the v6 has it in black the rest in a fake aluminum finish.

Very cool, much more detailed. Sorry about the double post then.

Just trying to get the info out there since my local dealers had no idea and people from Ford needed a few hours to figure it out. You would think this information would be provided to the dealers.

Actually Here is the Updated Dash Finish Posting.

OK, Let's go through this again...

This is the Base V-6 Carbon Fiber/Plastic Dash Trim.

This is the Base Eco-Boost and GT Diamond Mesh Aluminum Finish Dash Trim

This is the Eco-Boost and GT Premium Brushed Aluminum Dash Trim.

This is the Eco-Boost and GT Performance Package Engine Turned Aluminum Dash Trim with Center Gages

Lastly, This is the Limited Edition and 50th Anniversary Appearance Package Axle Spun Aluminum Dash Trim. The Limited Edition gets the Center Mounted Gages, the Appearance Package gets the 3 A/C vents.

Not to stir the pot but when you build & price an EB with PP it shows the engine turned dash and if you select the 50th appearance pack the view does switch to show a lighter dash with the 2 gauges. Perhaps you get that dash with the AP as well as the LE.

Question: GT and EB Premium come with Brushed Aluminum dash, that seems clear, but when you add the "Premier Trim" package it comes with another Aluminum dash, is that the same as the 50th Appearance Package or one that is not shown above? Just asking...

I don't think we've seen any evidence that the PCAG dash is any different from the Premium (or the PP, which governs if the car has the PP.)

The 50th AP is a kind of specialized version of the PCAG in that they get the soft door top trim and similar door cards, but the AP shares the LE's Axle-Spun dash.

If this is wrong, I'd be happy to know it. Of all the dash treatments, I think the brushed is my least favorite. I mean, it's fine, I ordered it, I will live with it and learn to love it. But I would have been thrilled to get the engine-turned finish, or even something that looked like the base GT in a better material. I know, first-world problems.

Yup, the brushed aluminum is boring. And the solid silver look is out there on many econoboxes...just boring. Surprised this is premier trim! Makes sticking with base easier (plus maybe recaros)

I'd assume PP will replace all other dashes because of the two extra gauges that are added in the package.
Yep. Anything identical 50th AP/ PP. The PP Will override. Rims/Dash

I would think the only exception is on the limited 50th anniversary edition.
I think the PP+50th AP will also get the LE dash. My opinion.

I understand. I'm stating my opinion based on the dash changes during Build and Price. See post #5. We'll never know for sure until the cars start arriving.
